I'm 19 wks pregnant and have my 20w scan next week. We're going to find out the sex and have no preference but we're both playing a bit of a game of guessing at the moment! DS1 is 2 and my pregnancy felt different. Mainly in terms of sickness which was every morning without fail and then stopped overnight at around 13w. This time round it's a lot more random and unpredictable (so less I reckon) but still here at 19w. So I'm guessing a girl. Of course I know it could easily be a boy but just wondering what your experiences were with the pregnancies!

One of each ,and very similar
A little more queasy second time around , but no actual sickness (girl)
Totally exhausted first time with a boy
Huge , both times

Eolian · 06/10/2016 19:57

I have one of each, no notable difference.

WussyWat · 06/10/2016 20:07

Really similar in the early stages, didn't realise I was pregnant with both until missed period. Only differences being with 2nd pregnancy I had some evening sickness and more pelvic pain in the last month or so. But other than that, both pretty uneventful!

squizita · 06/10/2016 20:12

I had ALL the classic boy signs. And the Chinese thing said boy. I even felt like I was having a boy.

I also had approx 20 scans (medical issue) and from 18 weeks onwards they said girl. Whereupon morons know betters would talk about my bump, the Chinese predictor etc ... boy.

Dd is a girl.

Soubriquet · 06/10/2016 20:14

My first pregnancy I was constantly sick. Was in hospital 3 times with dehydration in the first 16 weeks. Craved loads of sweet and salty food. Had a girl

Second pregnancy was the total opposite. No sickness at all and craved a lot more savoury food. Had a boy

Nessie100 · 06/10/2016 20:39

2 pregnancy's sooooo different - 1 hr morning sickness v's 30+ weeks, spotty skin v clear skin, carried different, absolutely everything you could possibly think, was different.

I welcomed DS2 4 months ago Wink.

Honestly don't think it can be predicted / guessed / assumed etc - but it's half the fun, especially if you don't find out until they are delivered.

UnicornPee · 06/10/2016 21:42

I've got one of each and both pregnancies were completely different.

However. I am pregnant now with my 3rd and it's different from both the other two.
So I assume all pregnancies are different and isn't down to the sex

blueshoes · 06/10/2016 22:26

With the boy, I had a serious craving for red meat.

chelle87 · 06/10/2016 23:06

Hormones!!! Ds came first, fairly straightforward pregnancy until the end.nausea for a few weeks (8-12)
Dd, there was less nausea and Hormones. Crazy Hormones. I raged uncontrollably from beginning to end, then I'd cry and cry. I knew it was a girl because it was like PMSx100000

Unfairestofthemall · 06/10/2016 23:13

DS I was huge could barely move around, constantly sick but loads of energy.
DD I barely showed till 24 weeks and she was my second. No sickness but exhausted and severe migraines.

Congratulations Smile

BastardBernie · 06/10/2016 23:15

I suffered morning sickness until 20w and later migraines with girl
No morning sickness or migraines, but chronic SPD and irritability with boy

BastardBernie · 06/10/2016 23:16

I was huge all over with girl, and huge bump only with boy.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 06/10/2016 23:19

Very different for me too! With both DSs I felt fit & healthy, no morning sickness, my hair was in fabulous condition, skin was great etc.

With DD I vomited every single day on my pregnancy. The morning sickness was what made me buy a pregnancy test before my period was even due. I vomited on the morning she was born. Every. Single. Day. I also looked like shit - spotty, greasy hair etc. - and lost around a stone in weight. Much quicker & easier labour though, on the up side.

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 07/10/2016 04:44

I have 2 dd. Both pregnancies completely different. Dd1 sick all day every day,had 'mild' SPD, craved humbugs went 14 days over. Dd2 not sick at all after about 8 weeks, ended up on crutches because of spd (don't think having them so close together was such a good plan oops) craved trifle (mil loved to feed me up haha) had dd2 2 weeks early. Currently TTC dc3 so wonder what surprises it will bring. And congratulations by the way.

CoffeeCoffeeAndLotsOfIt · 07/10/2016 04:59

Easy pregnancy with ds and my skin / hair looked great.

With my dd I had far more heartburn and was permanently shattered. Skin / hair - no improvement.

ThoraGruntwhistle · 07/10/2016 05:54

Both very similar, except with DD I had a craving for ice cold water and kept getting thrush. Chronic heartburn with both pregnancies.

Amalfimamma · 07/10/2016 06:24

Have one of both. Was sick all the way through with both, had heartburn with both, Ibs with both. The only difference is noticed was with dd I had high blood pressure, with ds it was low.

Lickedthespoon · 07/10/2016 06:39

I'm pregnant too and have our scan next week - hope it all goes well for you! Smile

Annabrooke90 · 07/10/2016 11:32

I Have four boys and a girl. DD being my youngest. My ds1 and ds2 pregnancies where the polar opposites. DD's pregnancy just felt the same as ds3&4 so assumed I was having another boy.

KeyserSophie · 07/10/2016 13:07

I live in China. An old lady came up to me when I was pregnant with DD in the supermarket and said "You have girl". I laughed and said "howdy you know?" She said "Because girl steal all your beauty"

Thanks bitch! She was right though and it was a rough pregnancy

FlaptheWings · 07/10/2016 13:29

I have 2 boys and a girl.

With both DSs I had really easy pregnancies, no sickness, plenty of energy etc. With DD I felt pretty awful throughout. I had low-level queasiness, hip and back pain, hellish indigestion and heartburn etc. Also with the DSs I went into labour naturally and had to have my waters broken in hospital. With DD my waters broke when I was 6 days over, were meconium stained, and I had to be induced.

I looked better when pregnant with DD though - lovely shiny hair, clear skin etc.Smile

Hellochicken · 07/10/2016 14:18

4 pregnancies
2 boys 2 girls (not in that order!)
All pretty much the same. more tired with the last one but that was because I had 3 children to look after and worked until 40+4

Overall I liked being pregnant odd I know

LittleMoonbuggy · 08/10/2016 07:48

I remember asking similar a long time ago!

My sickness has lessened with each pregnancy. I had G, B, G in that order. There wasn't really anything to tell them apart, sorry.

kiki22 · 08/10/2016 22:43

I have 2 boys and everyone was convinced ds2 would be a girl because all my symptoms were different my weight gain was dramatically different I carried different even my emotions/hormones were not the same I was super emotional second time round first time I hardly changed at all. I had 2 scans saying boy and people still said they wouldn't be surprised if he came out a girl obviously he was a boy.

pensivepolly · 08/10/2016 22:45

Easiest pregnancy imaginable with son.
Terrible skin and sick 24/7 for first trimester with daughters.
