I personally would not consent to an ecv. There can be several reasons why a baby hasn't moved - short cord, tangled cord, uterus shape etc. Ecv carries risks which in my opinion are higher than those of a planned c section (cord compression for example.) it also takes a fair amount of force which itself can be harmful to the baby. I'd take an elcs over ecv any day.
Nothing will work 100% and nothing will work if there's a physical reason the baby isn't turning, moxibustion and acupuncture have no clinical evidence behind them but don't seems to be harmful if done hygienically. Keeping active and doing things like scrubbing floors etc is your best bet.

going that is shocking - she should have been struck off for that. .

TheHubbles - yes, my nhs midwife was horrified when I told her but as she is an independent I'm not sure they could do much though the NHS midwife said something would be done. I'd only booked the private lady for the last couple of months due to issues with my normal midwife but luckily another practice was happy to take me on. All very scary and worrying and then both the baby and I nearly died on delivery too so...and I'd already lost one twin. We were advised to not have any more children and we haven't Sad.

Independent or not they are all registered with a central body? Council of midwifery or something? That is horrendous...

So sorry you went through that :(

TheHubbles - even if anything was done she's still worked since. She's delivered relatives babies and been on the news so wasn't struck off and given it's a few years now there's nothing to be done. I'm just still upset with it at times when I think of what might have happened and the look of horror on my midwife's face.

I put a post on here about this too, everyone mentioned spinning babies, I tired it and it worked straight away. Had a scan to confirm too X
