Does DD+ maternity swimwear exist?

Help! I need a swimsuit with enough room for my growing bump and enough support for my increasingly large boobs. It's for fitness (lane swimming and aqua classes) not the beach, so ideally the style should be plain or sporty, but that's not a priority - beggars can't be choosers!

Does DD+ maternity swimwear exist? Or will I have to choose between my boobs and my bump in terms of what fits best?!

I'm usually a 34F/FF but my boobs are obviously growing. At 17 weeks I'm wearing a 38FF and I guess they will probably get even bigger Confused

I have a Freya Active Soft Cup swimsuit (a one piece) and my boobs are already spilling out. I'm toying with the idea of buying the same swimsuit in a bigger bra size (found it half price!) but I'm worried there won't be enough stretch in the body to accommodate a huge bump towards the end of my pregnancy. Would I be better off in a tankini? There is a tankini version of the Freya Active Soft Cup... It's not on sale of course (typical) but might last longer, as I figure even if it rides up towards the end it won't matter hugely if I flash a bit of bump?!

Any advice or suggestions would be most welcome - TIA!

Thanks everyone for your replies. I've decided to get a tankini instead of a one-piece so I can wear it if I have a water birth (trying not to think about the birth part too much but I suppose it is going to happen! Confused)

So that rules out Speedo, looks like they only do a maternity swimsuit and not a tankini.

Currently looking at the Emma Jane Maternity Tankini as well as the non-maternity Freya Active Tankini I was looking at before. Might have a look at Asda too.

Not convinced by the styles at JoJo, they're all a bit fussy (more beachwear than fitness), and they don't seem to have the ones I like in my size.

I have this tankini which fits my currently 32FF pregnant boobs (I think mine is a size 2 which is about a UK 12). It has an internal bra shelf thing which has been supportive enough and a neck strap which keeps it up.

I have a Freya active in a similar style but different colour and it's not very roomy on the tummy. Less sporty ones are cut more generously but are more likely to flap around. Maybe you could push the top up over your bump and have some black maternity bottoms to fill the gap?

NameChange30 · 20/09/2016 22:23

Convincing
Hmmm. I wonder if the best combo might be a bikini top in the right bra size, and a maternity one-piece or maternity bikini briefs/shorts. I want non-wired though, and I doubt you can get non-wired bikini tops in a 38FF (and growing!)

I take it back! I found a non-wired bikini top in a 38FF! Shock

I just kept sizing up in basic Speedo one pieces until around 35 weeks, then bought the Sports Direct maternity cheapie - an unflattering piece of shit but it covered everything and that's all I wanted at that stage. I had my last swim at 40+5.

I've managed to find a "flare tankini", which looks generous in the tummy area, in a 38FF. Problem is, it's 58 bloody quid! And it's underwired...

Ouch no way would I pay that for a maternity swimsuit to wear a few months.
I must admit I did give birth in my £3 Asda tankini however a vest top or t-shirt would do the job.

NameChange30 · 21/09/2016 13:31

I looked on the Asda website but I could only find maternity swimsuits, no tankinis Sad

The one I use for swimming is a maternity swimsuit and it's great! You probably couldn't give birth in it though! Grin

GinIsIn · 21/09/2016 13:49

An Asda one I mean

Toocold · 21/09/2016 13:51

Try next online, I have one that looks like a tankini but is an all in one, I'm an F cup

MrsNuckyThompson · 21/09/2016 13:52

I've had this issue, too, and the answer as far as I can see is NO!!

NameChange30 · 25/09/2016 14:34

Update: I ordered the Emma Jane Maternity Tankini and it's TERRIBLE. Not recommended! I'm usually a size 14 so I ordered the 14/16 which I hoped might be reasonably generous in the boob area... NOPE. The top has a TINY bra section which has zero support, is too small to cover my breasts, and looks ridiculous. AVOID!

Back to the drawing board...

Oh and I had to pay for delivery so that was £4 wasted - thanks Figleaves Sad

I have a Next maternity Tanksuit (looks like a tankini but is a one piece) it's clothes sized but is actually fairly supportive. Because I have a fear of "flapping around" in the pool I wear a bra sized underwired bikini top underneath for extra security Grin that you can't even see. I'm still a 38ff as I was pre pregnancy at 32 weeks so still in my underwired usual bras.
HUGE gap in the market for bra sized maternity swimwear. Drove me NUTS trying to find something.

Though just realised my bloody Tanksuit is of no use for my planned waterbirth ffs....

It's not this one but same idea.

NameChange30 · 06/10/2016 12:22

OMG I've found it. The Holy Fucking Grail. Maternity swimwear by bra size.

www.anita.com/shop/en_global/products/swimwear.html?collection_group=Anita+Maternity

Some styles only go up to a D cup but I've already found a couple that go up to an F or G.

YESSSSSSSSSSS

Here they are, in case anyone is interested:

Anita Hatutu Swimsuit - up to G cup - £32.49 in the sale

Anita Mavea Tankini - up to F cup - £69.99 but there's 15% off so it's £59.49

Just read through this post as I'm 13 weeks pregnant and wear 32H bra and growing! I'm hunting for something that will fit throughout pregnancy but there's nothing! Big gap in the market!
Might go for bravissimo/bra stop bikini top and buy maternity bottoms elsewhere. Very infuriating😑

Whatsername17 · 03/01/2017 16:47

I've just done a diy job on one of my old swimsuits. It has a rouched panel over the belly, so I cut the tummy tamer panel behind it out and now I have a perfect fit. I'm 37+4 so it is accommodating a sizable bump!

Lisabug · 04/01/2017 10:32

@whatsername17
Perfect! Good thinking😁
