Hi
i'm 32 weeks and getting awful backache. Think i need yet more and bigger bras but should get a nursing one as i'm so close to due date. Does anyone know of anywhere to get fitted for a nursing bra in central London?
cheers!

Mothercare opposite Selfridges. Maybe John Lewis?

Taichimum · 30/01/2007 12:51

John Lewis on Oxford Street- good old fasioned customer service very helpful

Blooming Marvellous have a store at the top of Regent St, by Oxford street. Or JL.

Aloha · 30/01/2007 12:53

DL stock Elle Macpherson stuff, which is fab.

Eeek · 30/01/2007 12:54

rigby and pellar on conduit street just off regent street. Fab! They can do it just by looking. and if you need more you can just ring them and they'll post them out with free postage.

bundle · 30/01/2007 12:54

if you get the right (usually older) women at JL they're marvellous...they don't normally measure you just squint at your norks and bring in a few for you to try...

Aloha · 30/01/2007 12:58

I mean't JL stock Elle Macpherson. Wouldn't do R&P for maternity bras.

Rigby and Peller, Knightsbridge. That's where I'd be if I could afford it.

TheBlonde · 30/01/2007 13:08

If you are on the larger size - Bravissimo in Cov Gdn

tokentotty · 30/01/2007 13:12

Why not good old fashioned M&S ??

Aloha · 30/01/2007 13:13

Don't trust M&S measuring. JL much better IMO, esp for maternity bras. JL has better selection of brands too.

annobal · 30/01/2007 13:28

John Lewis do a maternity bra for about £7 which is perfectly acceptable. Don't know what you are like but my bra size changed totally as soon as I gave birth and my milk came in. I went from a 34DD to 32F so you may be better waiting and getting nursing bra once you have had the baby.

Lio · 30/01/2007 13:32

Another vote for Rigby and Peller on Conduit Street, especially if you have big boobs.

Aloha · 30/01/2007 13:44

I don't think Rigby & Peller DO nursing bras at all, do they?

Lio · 30/01/2007 13:57

They did three years ago Aloha, that's where I got mine from and they didn't blink at my hugeness AND they had the right size in stock which was v nice feeling.

MerryMarigold · 30/01/2007 14:00

might not be much point getting one now. mothercare wouldn't measure me till 36 weeks (or was it 36). Tbh their bras are rubbish, but anyway, I was MUCH bigger than they predicted so only get a couple till you see hwhat size you're gonna pan out.

Lio · 30/01/2007 14:02

Oh merrymarigold yes, you are right now I come to think of it. They do something like estimate a back-size down and a cup-size up for the nursing ones, so they wouldn't fit you now padi.

MerryMarigold · 30/01/2007 14:02

oops, meant perhaps it wasn't till 38 weeks that they measured me. in fact, i think it was 38 weeks. i went from a 36C to a 34DD/ E
