She'd been ill with cancer only since March, last Friday they were ready to send her home and she was in remission when she caught an infection which has rendered her unresponsive and in an intensive care unit since Monday.
Today She died whilst on an anesthetic they gave her to put an oxygen tube in to her.
She would have been an amazing grandma I'm so sad to loose her at this point but then there's never a good time to loose your mum.
I'm just grateful that I had such a lovely relationship with her and she's at peace now.

So sorry for your loss, just can't imagine how hard it must be dealing with such sadness and coping with pregnancy and all that come with it at the same time Flowers

My mum died of cancer a few years before I became a mum and there is such deep sorrow at times that she doesn't get the share the joy of being a grandparent with my dad, but at the same time when DD came along she healed my Dad, gave him reason to smile and laugh again. Whenever I feel sad, I remind myself that I learnt so much from her, things that I pass on to DD and she lives on in us both.

Oh, love. What an awful shock, I'm so sorry.

Take extra care of yourself. And congratulations on your girl. Flowers

I'm so sorry for your loss.
She will live on in the love you give your daughter and the way you parent her every day.

Oh bumbleclat Flowers

The bereavement board have been a massive support to me, if you feel you need to, there is always someone to lend an ear and a virtual hug. Talking does help. Don't forget you are not alone in this. You had a wonderful mom and your DD will grow up to know all about her.

Flowers best wishes

Oh my goodness I'm so sorry for your loss. Share memories of your Mum with your daughter so she knows who her family are. She is a part of your daughter and you will see your Mum in her as she grows. Look after yourself at this awful time. Flowers

winewolfhowls · 05/08/2016 22:45

So very sorry, my thoughts are with you.

bumbleclat · 05/08/2016 23:52

Thank you everyone. My 95 year old grandmother made it her life's work to look after my mum because she had mental health problems meaning that she couldn't live with me and my sister and our dad brought us up.
My granny's heart break at this time is what's hurting me the most.
At least my mum died peacefully and without pain.
Thank you everyone.

Sending you love, so very sad. Part of her will live on in you and those who loved her. Little traits/stories quirks from your mum that you'll carry forward. I hope your baby brings you comfort.

mrsnatashas · 06/08/2016 21:24
