35 +1 with PFB. Just packed labour bag for me and bag for baby.
What have I forgotten?

Labour Bag for Me:

Toiletries - hairbrush, bobbles, shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush and paste, toilet wipes, dry shampoo, lip balm, moisturiser, lansinoh nipple cream, deodorant, flannel

Maternity Pads x 10
Incontinence Pants x 5
Disposable maternity pants x 5
10 x 2pk Lamsinoh breast pads

Large towel
Tankini (still to get - hoping for water birth)

2 x nighties
1 x PJs
1 x thin dressing gown
Flip flops
Nursing Bra x 1

Hand fan
Antibacterial wipes (just incase hospital bathrooms aren't very clean)
Pillow

Going home clothes (still to pack - will just be yoga pants and baggy top, I'm not the Duchess of Cambridge, no one will be taking my picture).

Phone charge/Ipad and charger
Got a multi-plug in the car already
Book

Snacks (still to get)
Water (sports bottles)

Cash for parking
Notes are with me always.

Baby Bag:

Blanket
10 x nappies newborn size
1 x pk water wipes
4 x muslin squares

2 x newborn sets of clothes
1 x sleep suit (with built in mittens)
1 x short sleeve vest
1 x hat

Re: first, tar-like poos. I heard that smearing baby's bum with Vaseline or metanium before they do their first poo is a good idea as it wipes off more easily.

Don't want to hijack the thread, but thought I'd share my experience. Had my bag packed from 36 weeks, thought I'd meticulously covered everything. Then DD arrived 2 weeks early, a tiny 5lb 12oz and midwives looked very disapprovingly at my newborn selection of clothes and asked why I didn't have anything to fit my tiny baby Sad Well, I wasn't expecting to go into labour early and DD certainly didn't seem to be measuring small in my scans, and I didn't have a crystal ball Hmm

My family dashed about buying tiny baby clothes and brought them to the hospital as soon as I told them Wink

I don't think most people would buy tiny baby clothes 'just in case' would they? Confused

If you don't have a tanking I wouldn't bother I just wore a vest top in the pool it didn't need to be a swim suit. I wasn't planning a water birth but changed my mind. I still wont take a tankini even if I have another. Lots more pads though you'll be greatful for the big cushioned ones for a couple of days!

I wouldn't bother with sudocrem of bepanthen, regular use usually causes more problems than it solves. If you get soreness (teething/diarrhoea etc), use bepanthen then but it's really not good for them long term. Blocks pores and irritates sensitive skin.

Second the pack of nappies rather than 10.

A big stick to fend off the Bounty ladies Grin

Plastic bag for laundry.

Small plastic bags for shower stuff.

I'm 35+5, need to do mine! It's my third and I'll still forget stuff.

The best tip I got (on here) was two bags

Labour bag with all your labour only essentials and 2 outfits for dc and then post labour / ward bag that can be grabbed as your ready to go up to antenatal. (Leave it in your car)

That way you're not desperately scratting round trying to find stuff while you're in labour or post labour and feeling delicate,
