When did your morning sickness start?

So I know I shouldn't be moaning but I'm worried. With my first pregnancy I didn't get sick at all and then at 8 weeks I had a mc. Second pregnancy I got really sick from 5 weeks until 25 weeks, third pregnancy I had sickness from 5 weeks until 17 weeks, forth child I had sickness from 5 weeks until I had another mc at 20 weeks and finally my last baby I remember distinctly getting sickness from 5+2 and I had it all the way through. This time I am now 5+3 and I have nothing. I know it can be normal but I'm totally freaking out because in my case it's always been a sign of mc. Can anyone ease my mind? Thanks Smile

Hello! Scan went well, no sign of anything to worry about, dated another day ahead but hey ho, and I'm now due 25th January Grin Cannot tell you how relieved and emotional I was to get my Bounty pack Blush after the significance of not being given it last time. Luckily the midwife was v.understanding and didn't make me feel like a loon x

Hopefully, here's a pic attached x

Oh my goodness!! What a great scan picture, so clear! I'm so pleased everything went well. I can't wait until my 12 week scan. It seems a lifetime away at the moment.

Are you hoping for a particular gender? I already have 3 girls and lost my son (as you know) so last time I was really hoping for a boy and I had another girl, I have to admit I was super happy that she was just ok but I couldn't really control my emotions over her not being a boy. I soon got over it though. Anyway I have been on a gender prediction website and it's based on the ramzi theory, if you can a scan picture between 6-8 you can accurately guess the gender with 97% certainty based on if the placenta is forming on the left or right of the uterus. As I'm a bit eager to prepare myself I sent off my scan picture (it's costs just under £5 so it's just a bit of cheap fun really) and they will tell you. Mine came back as a girl again today. I feel pretty certain i was having another girl anyway. Do you have any feelings? Are you going to find out, or have a surprise? Xx

I know, it seems ages now until our 20 week scan, and I'm really impatient and eager to find out the gender. Every week feels like a month! Hmm DH told me today he'd rather not know?! Confused I told him I can't make any promises about keeping the secret because I'm desperate to know and start sorting out the nursery, confirming a name etc and I'm not known for always thinking before I speak Grin

I've always pictured my little family complete with a boy and a girl, for some reason, but as long as this lo is healthy I will be thrilled. This is the last time I'll be pg (I don't think I cope v.well with pregnancy) so I'll be happy with what I'm given Smile My sister, reading between the lines, is possibly convinced I'll battle gender disappointment, considering our loss, if it's a girl, but I know I won't. DD is hoping for a little sis atm (this changes weekly though Wink) x

Mycraneisfixed · 21/07/2016 21:14

5 weeks to 5 months. With all 3.

Princessnthepea86 · 21/07/2016 21:44

Gender disappointment is really hard, some people say it's selfish but I think everybody has their reasons for wanting one sex or another, but as long as you get over it quickly and move on I don't see it as a big deal. I def had gender disappointment but l wouldn't swap her for a boy now and I know I won't with this little one either :)

My husband is really begging me to keep it a suprise this time but there is just noway I would be able to. I have even booked a gender scan for 16 weeks, but have told him that he does not have to come with me and I have promised not to tell him.

My little girls are desperate for a brother so I'm not going to tell them I am pregnant until I know the gender, that way I can tell them right away so they won't convince themselves it's a boy haha. How old is your Dd? Have you told her about the baby yet? X

I keep inadvertently referring to the baby as 'him' but DD keeps correcting me saying it's a girl Confused I tried to explain it'll be a 50/50 chance...haha Smile

How old are your girls? DD is 3 and has known we're pg as long as I have, as she was there when I ran to DH, gobsmacked with a +ve pg test (see, I have no self-filter) Shock Wink

I would rather her not known until the dating scan but I think she'd have been confused and worried about me being in bed atm so much without an explanation. She's pretty ok though with mama being in bed, sleepy and sick because of the baby in her belly, as anything is better than me being in hospital so much at this point in pregnancy last year. She's quite grown up for her age - I told her at 11 weeks that she could share our news with the 'aunties' in nursery if she wants to, but she just said 'no, it'll be our little secret for now' Shock Grin

What's with men wanting us to keep it a surprise?! Aren't we doing enough as it is??!! Hmm Grin

Havingkittens04 · 21/07/2016 22:18

Good plan about not telling them until 16 weeks btw Wink x

Princessnthepea86 · 22/07/2016 07:43

Ah that's is very sweet! See, that's the other thing, my girls wouldn't be able to keep it a secret so I'm not telling them until I'm telling the resto Of the world! My eldest daughter is 7 middle is 5 and youngest is 11 months. I told my eldest 2 about the baby coming really early last time because everybody knew we were trying for a baby and we wanted to tell everybody as soon as we found out. This time though, although the baby was planned, nobody knows we were trying and I'm anticipating a few, not necessarily negative comments but some shocked faces. It seems like when you have 2 people always ask 'is that is or you want any more' but then when you have more than 2 people assume your done with number 3. When you tell people you want 4 it's almost like they think you are crazy! Haha. We always wanted 4 and I don't think it's anyone else's business. I'm thinking that when we can tell everybody the gender right away (like with the kids) I might get a better reaction. Who knows?! Lol. I know my youngest is only 11 months but truthfully I don't want spread having my kids out and be pregnant again in 6 years. This is perfect for me. Then I can concentrate on just all of them forever now ☺️

I've always pictured just having 2, so like you, my little family will finally feel 'complete' Grin I totally get wanting to have your children close together. You could always have an answer prepared for the [shocked] Confused when you make the announcement too 'Yup, I have totally got this parenting malarkey down Wink Grin'

I know! I'm a complete Christmas nut, and it feels that as soon as Christmas is over and the New Year is here so will baby Shock You're not far behind though Wink So pleased for you x

I felt nauseous from weeks 7-10. Only vomited a couple of times though. More like a 24/7 hangover and I craved carbs (and KFC) big time!

Mommabear20 · 23/11/2020 10:48

With DD (and now this pregnancy) I've started feeling nauseous literally the day I found out! With DD it didn't go away and I had anti sickness tablets from 16 weeks 🙌🙌
