Has anyone else been in this situation? It's a sex thread folks!

I started a thread a few weeks ago about bleeding after sex and the thrush from hell and spoke to my midwife about it and was told to abstain for a fortnight.
We did and once the fortnight was up we had sex and I bled a lot.
At my 20 week scan yesterday I discussed this with the mw. She checked my placenta position and all was fine.

She did say however that my cervix was vascular (I think) and I will most likely bleed every time we have sex.........but......I have to ring the maternity ward and come in for a swab after every bleed.
So, if we have sex weekly, will I really have to attend the ward with bleeding weekly?????
Shall we just not have sex to save the NHS a bit?
We are getting married in a few weeks and I'm doing it on my wedding night regardless

I wouldn't have sex if it was causing me to bleed tbh you have the rest of your life for shagging its only another few months until your baby is born.

You can always do other stuff or use condoms if its the semen that's causing it.

The midwife didn't say not to do it. I might ask again at my next appt.
I'm happy enough not to do it I would never want to harm the baby.

Yes I'd also just go without till baby arrives - you can do without the worry, if nothing else. But as PP said, might also be worth checking with the midwufe what is triggering the bleeding so you know what to avoid - semen, penetration or just orgasm. And hope it's not the latter!

Did anyone mention cervical entropion to you? That may be the issue. Particularly common later in pregnancy. I had similar issue but occasionally during pregnancy too but was never told to keep going back. Do you know your rhesus status? Could this be the cause?

No they didn't mention that. This is DC3 and I've never had it before.
Don't know my rhesus status but I'm O+ if that helps.

I had this, I was told my cervix was irritable just like me. It did ease off as my pregnancy continued, and DS was fine.

My whole fanjo is irritable I think. I'm currently sitting with an ice pack on it because I'm in the pit of hells fires with thrush
