low lying arterial placenta

Had 20 week scan today and they gave me news that I have the above problem. Have any of you had the same diagnosis without birth complications or a bleed?

Arterial or anterior?

I had low lying anterior placenta with DS1 at 20 weeks. No issues at all and had moved to normal position by 28 weeks. Most of them do.

Anterior, the one that sits at the front. Thank you I'm hoping it has moved by next scan.

I've been given the same. Most people's move, it's rare not to. Usually it is less likely to move if they tell you it is covering or partially covering the cervix. You are also more likely to have a bleed if it is covering the cervix. Mine isn't, it's just low and I have had no issues so far (now 27+5). Have a repeat scan at 34 weeks to check position, no one seems worried from private midwife to sonographer to consultant.

I had a low anterior placenta slight covering my cervix. I had no bleeding and it had moved out of the way by the next scan. Gave birth with no problems.

Thank you all. One of the midwives made it sound terrible. Was really enjoying this pregnancy up till then.
