Hi expectant ones, I'm 16 weeks pregnant with DC3 - definitely our last - and I want to savour this final experience of having a pregnant body. So please tell me what you love most about being pregnant! Thx

Seeing the baby on scans, I've never felt emotion like it!

summeraupair · 26/06/2016 15:43

Having an official bump. I've spent most of my life avoiding certain clothes because they make me look pregnant (natural body shape = skinny legs, skinny arms, no bum, massive boobs and prominent belly) but for the first time I can embrace all the tight clothes I want!

mummydoc123 · 26/06/2016 19:18

Being able to buy cute baby clothes for your new arrival.

sizethree · 26/06/2016 19:42

my husband's face when he feels the baby kick. Oh, and big boobs. Big boobs are great.

MargaretCabbage · 26/06/2016 19:52

I hate every second of it. Sweaty, sick, in pain, miserable. Bring on the birth!

Shortninbread · 27/06/2016 20:47

So heartening to read these. Especially after the week we've all had.

Feeling baby move. And Blush the sex. The sex is amazing! I know I may be in a minority Blush

Not needing to shave my legs as much. Although my bush is a state Grin. Feel sick all the time.

CinderellaFant · 30/06/2016 20:18

Not having to worry about contraception!

divadee · 30/06/2016 21:14

At 8+4 nothing yet!!! It's just made me remember how grim early pregnancy really is (how did I forget?!?!)

But I can't wait for the first scan and when I start having a proper bump instead of just a bloated, constipated stomach!

I've been lucky. Apart from some lower back pain for the last 2 weeks, I've had nothing negative happen. No morning sickness, baby always in a good position, healthy weight gain etc. My best friend gave birth in April and she'd had a hell of a time: for the last several weeks, the baby's nose was pressed up against a nerve which caused her leg to give out randomly. Poor thing, haha.

But things I like: being spoilt more than usual by my husband, buying lots of baby things (especially cute, albeit gender neutral, clothes!), having an "excuse" to down an entire packet of Mint Slice biscuits in one go, bigger boobs, hearing the heartbeat at appointments and getting to see him/her at ultrasounds.

I'm only 20+6 but I have lovely almost every second of my pregnancy (I didn't love bleeding for a month early on because of a haematoma!) I love the roundness of my belly, how little I need to wash my hair, feeling my little girl move and wriggle and kick. I loved telling our friends we were expecting again after a MC in Jan and how excited everyone is for us, I love going to scans and seeing how much she's grown (she was chewing something during our 20 week scan! She can chew!).

Most of all I love how in love my husband is with our baby girl already, and watching him dive headfirst into baby books and baby clothes. I love the fact that we've created this tiny little being from scratch Grin

(I'll show myself out now for being stupidly soppy...)

GruffaloPants · 01/07/2016 13:12

Yes to the thick hair! Also the lack of body hair.

I feel "special" when pregnant - it is a bit magical. Well, up to the 3rd trimester. Now I'm 33 weeks I'm just uncomfortable and breathless.

romoca · 02/07/2016 15:13

16 weeks here!!! Not
Much I enjoy about pregnancy, nice hair and not worrying about being on a diet and enjoying food and of course baby scans and movements xx

OutsiderInTheGarden · 02/07/2016 15:19

Feeling baby bump moving.
Sorting through all our baby clothes and being excited that they'll be worn again by someone so tiny.
Writing kists if ridiculous names, when you kniw deep diwn you're still going to go with the safer one you & OH have already discussed.
Never turning down a biscuit.
That 'magical' feeling soneone else mentioned. Before the bump shows I feel like I have an incredible secret.
Getting the 20 wk scan out if the way and hearing there's nothing to worry about this time.

April241 · 02/07/2016 22:39

Mines is probably feeling babies move and seeing my bump get bigger every week. I take a picture every Friday and i'm always a bit shocked at the difference but I love my bump. I also loved when I called my mum, dad and sister to tell them then all my friends. Was brilliant!!!

I don't love the breathlessness or sore hips but they'll be gone soon, only 14 weeks to go!!! :D

becciandbump · 02/07/2016 23:15

My bump and feeling flutters

LBNM19 · 03/07/2016 14:05

It's nice to read all the other comments of woman that hate pregnancy. It makes me feel a bit more normal. Ha.

I feel horrendous. My back hurts, I'm exsusted, constantly have a head ache and either feeling or being sick.

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I have to say i haven't enjoyed any of them.

Farfromtheusual · 18/07/2016 13:19

Feeling baby move.
Getting to see it on the scans and hear it's heartbeat at MW appts.
That my DP does everything for me Grin haha

lookbeforeyouleap · 18/07/2016 13:23

I loved my bump but pregnancy was spd filled hell for me.

SewSlapdash · 18/07/2016 13:32

I like the bit at the end where I'm not pregnant any more Angry
