I started maternity leave on 20th, and felt pleased to have worked up to 38 weeks! Had a great weekend beginning 20th as a friends hen do. Fairly busy week last week with the sun out I had lots of walks couple of lunches out. I am now bored to tears!!! I know some will think I'm
mad but I really need something to keep me busy. House is in order and ready for babe to arrive, friends/family at work or busy, it's raining so my nice walks last week are out the question as no coats that fit HmmI've read a whole book in a couple days and run out of ideas!!

Any ideas what I can do I'm losing my mind GrinConfusedAngry Bird

I'm waiting for my 3rd to arrive, I would love time to:

  • sort into physical albums all 'proper' photos
  • sort and edit all digital photos
  • upload all music and dvds to computer and get rid of hard copies of everything
  • batch cook
  • weed the garden
  • sort post-mat clothes out
  • have a long bath
  • swim

In reality I'm sat being harassed by 2 small terrorists, feeling sorry for myself and mumsnetting... I only put the double buggy together yesterday, still need to sort the babies clothes, I'm exhausted!

I'm 39+3 too and this is my 2nd week of mat leave. Bored out of my tree, washing clothes and baby linen constantly so have given up. Im Working my way through a few box sets, trying to read a few books before baby arrives and studying for my degree.
If I get bored, I eat!
I can't bend over but that's just because my belly is huge!
Good luck for the birth, hopefully they'll want to come out soon and we'll be too busy!

Get yourself to a good gentle oestopath to help with that sciatica pain.
Research cranial oestopath too- miracle workers I find too.

If planning on breastfeeding research and visit groups. Same with sling libraries, baby groups.

I used annual leave and baby late so ended up with 6 weeks to myself, it was absolute heaven. Cake, cups of tea, reading books, naps, baths, massages, cinema, walks, duvet days, Netflix. I'm lucky in that I have a SAHM friend and one on maternity leave but as an introvert those 6 weeks to myself were AMAZING!
