Has anyone requested this? Did they try to change your mind?

I was forced to hold ds when he was born everytime I passed him back to dp they kept pushing me to have him back. This time I want them to give the baby straight over to dp and I don't want to hear a mutter of hold your baby, this way I can have him when I want him, I'm really not worried about the bond at all it never effected my bond with ds not holding him I was content with him safe with his dad.

I have a consultant app in a week so I will mention it see what they say, not that I will be taking no for an answer. I'm probably stressing over nothing and they will be fine about it

My second DC was handed to DH first as she was taken away immediately for resuscitation. When the sister returned with her my downstairs was being inspected so dad got the first cuddle.

Neither of us had expressed a preference but it was quite lovely in the end.

Op it's fine.

I was a bit checked out on the whole ante natal thing, as knew early I was having elcs....

Didn't even know what skin to skin was Blush

When I said for dd to be passed to her dad the nurse looked at me like Shockand I noticed she had wrote 'skin to skin refused' on my notes.

It's your birth you make the choices wherever possible.

Have it in your birth plan. You can write one for a c-section just like any other birth.
