I went into Dorothy Perkins today - only shop in town with (fairly dire) maternity clothes, only to find all the non-maternity stuff looking suitably maternity and smock like for my bump. The only thing that worries me is come July, when baby's born, I won't be able to find anything to wear cos it will make me look ten months pregnant when I'm not! Also struggling to keep up with the July thread! Miaou am I wrong or is this your 4th too??

Miaou · 16/01/2007 12:45

Yes earthtomummy, it is! Fourth and last

Top Shop in Regents Street, W1 have a whole section dedicated t maternity wear, great jeans that don't make you look like you should be packed off to the asylum....

Exactly my feelings Miaou! Room for a 4th but no more. DH doesn't believe that I won't get broody again though. I know I won't!

I surprised myself actually, earthtomummy - I wasn't sure I would feel "done" after this one - but about halfway through the first trimester (with the worst m/s so far) I thought "nope, this is definitely it!". Dh, fortunately, feels the same, which is quite nice really . We are so looking forward to this one being born, then our family will feel complete!

Back to the clothes - I spent ages trawling through ebay last night but was really disappointed with what was there. I've probably got enough stuff to manage on but still, a couple more nice bits would have been ... er, nice

I wandered into Debenhams yesterday and got a pair of trousers, a pair of jeans and a really nice top for £88 from Red Herring maternity. I was delighted as I have found it really difficult to get jeans that were long enough for me. It was a revelation as I had no idea that they did a maternity line. I also bought this top in brown a few weeks ago and lots of the other M&S Limited Collection tops on the website look like they'd be good for bumps too. I've only got 8 weeks to go so trying to restrict myself!

this poncho thingy is fab - they were in the Sunday Times Style section a couple of weeks ago - they're actually meant to be for breastfeeding - so that you can feed underneath them, but perfect for going over bumps too.

runnyhabbit · 18/01/2007 22:23

I bought something similar when I was pregnant with ds 2 years ago from M&S. Not designed for breast feeding, but was an absolute godsend when nothing else fitted. Have dug it out for this pregnancy, and still feel great in it!
