I've always had problems with my periods. I can go 7 months without one but that doesn't mean I'm pregnant. Had sex with partner over 2 weeks ago. Now I'm feel drained and tired. I'm out of breath and my breasts are slightly sore now again. Could this be an indication to being pregnant or just wishful thinking?

Do a test, you won't know otherwise

Junosmum · 27/04/2016 20:43

Definitely pregnant. With a boy. You'll name him Gerald

Take a test. Any other response you get on here will as reliable as mine above.

Thankyou! I don't think my other half will agree with Gerald Grin

I was similar. Did a test pregnant!

lucylloydxx · 29/04/2016 19:40

Do you ladies not think it's too soon to do a pregnancy test though. It nearly 3 weeks since so I thought it was far too soon to do a test

Three weeks is enough to show up on a test. Two weeks would be enough. Do one in the morning first thing, that's when you'd get the most accurate result.

NeedAGrip · 29/04/2016 20:06

No, not too soon to do a test.

Plenty of tests say they're accurate from the day your period is due - which for most women, will be 2 weeks after conception.

Any suggestions on which pregnancy is best? I've tried many in the past

There's no "best" Confused. If you're pregnant; they'll all show a positive...
You're really making a meal of this, aren't you?

lucylloydxx · 30/04/2016 07:46

I think it's because when I've thought I've been pregnant in the past and I do a test and I'm not and I so badly want to be! Nothing wrong with being excited..

First response early response is most accurate. Not all tests are the same they have varying degrees of sensitivity. Avoid anything with blue ink as they tend to be less sensitive and are more likely to result in evaporation lines.

PotatosMum · 30/04/2016 07:56

...and don't get a digital one this early as they are the least sensitive of the lot and often give false negatives in the early days.

2016ismyyear · 30/04/2016 09:15

I just used the cheap ones. Poundland are great.

fruityb · 30/04/2016 13:19

I used tescos, came in a twin pack. Got a positive in 30 seconds on both two days apart. Was two days late when I did the first one. Somehow I just knew I was pregnant!
