I need some creative help!! What would you call a baby shower that isn't the traditional games afternoon with cakes and drinks?? I have compromised with my sister (who was planning one) and we are having a girly night out - dinner in a restaurant and hanging out with great mates.

But... we are stuck writing the invites. I don't want to say "Bella's baby shower" and the best we have come up with so far is...

wait for it

it's totally fab (not)

Bella's belly is about to pop

Serious help needed!!

how about something simple like kiwibella's pre-baby bash or kiwibella's last night of childlessness/non-motherhood?

It's really nice to see some positive posts on here finally. I'm glad for you kiwi.
I'll never understand why some people post simply to be nasty. I guess it says alot about stuff that's going on in their lives and how negative they feel about themselves.
I'd give a funky name suggestion but I'm completely uninspired and you already have good suggestions here

thanks so much to those who have continued to post. I'm really happy with what we have settled on.

UCM crafting as and when (I can / need to). My sister and I got the invites made last night with too much input from our dh's so it took hours. Although, they were fabby on the Big Shot and then moved on to the playstation! I'll post a piccie as soon as I have taken one.

I'm avoiding that actual thinking of baby - I'm petrified about getting it out and the changes to our lives that will follow. Dh and dd are over the moon and dh can't understand me, really. So, UCM, I'm really glad to hear that you are enjoying yours. Have you got long to go??

hi kiwibella
my friends threw a baby shower for me when i was pg with my twin boys.......it was great!
it was at my house as i was so big i didnt really want to go anywhere else!

one of the things they did for me was to have a jelly dummy (sweet)on a length of ribbon and the idea is.....you all get one to start off with and every time someone says 'baby' or any other 'chosen' word, whoever heard them say it gets to take their dummy from them. the winner is the one with the most dummies at the end of the eve.

you can get a prize ...or just eat all the dummies you have collected!! yummy.

just a thought for you....have a great time.
dolly x
