I have been having regular growth scans, 37 weeks and last growth scan showed all was good after the previous one showed smaller than normal range legs and decelerating growth (from just above 10th centile to just under). I have had bad asthma, lots of medication for it, plus a transverse\unstable lie situation that seems now to have resolved itself, at least for the last week anyway. I am just so worried about this increasing my risk of still birth, consultants are cra# and not at all helpful, even said if I had group strep b they wouldn't bother with antibiotics during labour, all they ever say is that the risk of x, y, z is so small and send me on my way. I have left loads of messages for mental health midwife and she hasn't got back to me, given up now, but tbh all she ever said was 'don't worry' anyway which doesn't help someone who wants to talk facts and statistics with an expert. So now I'm thinking I really want a c section to remove the risk of a placenta problem towards end of pregnancy, next week would be 38 weeks - is it best to wait for 39? Due to see my rubbish consultant on Monday so could make my case then, I expert her to say no but am aware I then need to ask her to refer me. Have a history of ocd\anxiety - not that that has had any affect on the care I have received through a non- standard pregnancy. Any advice v gratefully received, thanks x
