If you don't know if it'll be a boy or girl yet, do you want to know?
For those who don't want to know, how comes?

17+3

Due 6th August and it's a boy

Found out at 11 weeks as had harmony tests done

Wanted to know as it's easier to plan stuff

LBOCS2 · 29/02/2016 07:52

34+2 and I'm having a girl (our second DD).

I'm not feeling terribly prepared, TBH. Ah well, still got 6 weeks to sort things out!

MyNameIsSuz · 29/02/2016 07:57

I'm due next Thursday and we think it's a girl - she said she was 95% sure, so like apples there's some doubt in my mind. Have kept all the tags on the girly babygros just in case!

We're not very pink/blue people, but have found out both times as it helped make it more of a real person and bond with the baby. We also struggle with names and it helps to only have one set of names to argue about (not that we have one yet...).

I don't really understand the surprise argument - surely it's the same surprise whether you find out at 20 weeks or 40? I'm looking forward on the day to being surprised by who she looks like, whether she's got hair, how big she is etc etc.

36 weeks due good friday having a boy third baby. By far the hardest pregnancy.

ProbablyMe · 29/02/2016 08:13

I'm due on the 20th May although will be induced before that for various reasons. I'm expecting boy number 5 and I can't wait!!! We found out because for me it's nice to know the name of the tiny person who I can feel moving so much, no interest in buying pink or blue!!

31 weeks, due April 28th. Having a little boy. This is DC3 and the first time we found out. I've loved the surprises before but we found out for DD (7) who had her heart set on a sister.. Also by far the hardest pregnancy for me!

29 weeks, having a girl. Didn't find out with DS and so glad we didn't, I think for your first, if you can I would definitely recommend not finding out, it was magical!

This time we just wanted a different experience (I'm also extremely impatient) and to try and start preparing DS by saying its a bother or sister.

Think its definitely more of a surprise at birth, as you've waited 40 weeks to find out and by seeing your baby in the flesh, rather than half way through pregnancy and hearing it from a sonographer. Id like another and would not find out for DC3.

StormTr00per · 29/02/2016 15:12

30 weeks here, (due 4th May) having a wee girl. I was desperate to find out!! I found out with DS and was glad I did so I could be mentally prepared and also to think of names.

LumpishAndIllogical · 29/02/2016 15:22

25 weeks and due in June. Having another boy, found out because it makes me feel more connected to the baby and I am terrible at deciding names. Also helps prepare my 5 year old, he will have a brother and wanted sister. Luckily he's getting over this before the baby arrived!

It's really a personal decision and our circs call for knowing.

The sonograher told us the sex at the 13 weeks scan! It was confirmed at 22 weeks too!

MetalMidget · 29/02/2016 17:21

19 weeks, got my 20 week anomaly scan next week. Hoping to find out the sex then, but I'm more concerned over whether the little one is growing correctly.

Want to know the sex so that we can pick a name and stop referring to it as 'it'!

Kitkatmonster · 29/02/2016 17:26

13 weeks, won't be finding out. Final baby, want a surprise.

MrsPCR · 01/03/2016 05:16

I'm 36+4 with unknown sex. Having a scan today and really don't want to see by accident! Looking forward to the surprise when it's born.

We have a gender neutral nickname for our baby and it seems weird that we'll stop using that in a few weeks! I've grown quite fond of it Grin we finalised boy and girl names last week and actually find it harder now. Gender neutral nickname is this preferred rather than X or Y.

TheMrs04 · 01/03/2016 12:57

Due 19/5/16 and having a little boy!! We didn't want to know but went for a private 4d scan last week with my in laws who knew we didn't want to know still asked and gave it away!! Needless to say we're over the moon! I secretly knew it was going to be a boy!! Grin

butterflylove16 · 01/03/2016 13:18

I'm 24 + 2 with my first, and baby is due 20th June Smile. At our 20 week scan the lady said she thought it was a girl, but baby wasn't really playing ball so she wasn't too sure! Dh and I are positive baby's a girl though, but are looking into having a 4D scan soon so should know for certain then. We wanted to find out as for us it's helped deepened the bond with dd. I have a lot of admiration for people who are more patient than us though!
