Pregnant again :) 11month age gap!

Hi everyone,

I just need to tell anyone that will listen.

Found out today, I AM pregnant again!!!

After a still birth in 2010 , I had our gorgeous baby boy in September 2015 and have enjoyed every second of pregnancy & motherhood, now pregnant again we planned to have them close together this is a little closer than we planned but still so excited and over the moon.

There is a 12 month gap between me and my sister and we have always been so close, best friends.

just checked online and if the website is correct it says children born 1/9/2015 to 31/8/16 will be in the same school year, our son was early September 2015 and bump number 2 should be due around the 11th of August.

So that makes them in the same school year doesn't it? One very old for year and one very young? I teach P1 in NI and our "year" runs from 2nd July-1st July so they wouldn't be in the same year here

That makes them in the same year, our son will be one of the older ones in the year and bump 2 will be a much younger one in the class.

I have two nephews who are 11 months apart and they are very close. They always played together very well unlike my two DDs 3 years apart

My sister says she thinks it was easier as the "difficult years" were all over sooner.

I went to school with siblings who were in the same year group and have taught 3 sets over past 30 years in p1. I think it is lovely! (I'm in NI- the old term would be "Irish twins")! Congratulations!!!

If i had my time again i would have had my children closer. There's 3.5 years between brtween the last 3 & then 5.5 years. So now dd14. Ds10. Ds 7 & dd2. They have nothing in common & totally different interests.

Whereas my best friend had 3 dc in 15 months (Singleton & twins). Her dc get on brilliantly at 14 & 13.

I am the eldest of two girls born 10 months and 27 days apart. My mum found out she was preggers again when I was about 6 weeks old, my sis was induced at full term, so we feel that we are about as close as siblings can be without the second one being delivered early.

Just on the topic of being in the same school year, my parents and school fought hard for us to be in different years, and in hindsight this was very much so for the best. We certainly could have been schooled in the same year - in fact there were a couple of girls in my sis's year who were born in the same week/year as me, but I entered school a bit early so as to force us apart (and possibly to give my mum a bit of a break). Perhaps the fact that we are the same gender made a difference, but I definitely think that being in the same year would have been very difficult for us, especially in our teenage years. Just thought I would share my experience and if there is flexibility when they enter school, take advice from the school and other professionals... it may be sweet for them to be in same year, but not sure if its always for the best, in my limited experience.

congratulations. I have 11.5 months between my last two babies. I wont lie, it was completely nuts for a while. Make sure youve got support and accept any help you can get. As they get older its brilliant. Mine are so close now, like twins.

I am a SATM but I am lucky with support, my husbands legal work place allowed him part time after our first baby ( we are lucky enough to to afford to this long term) so his home 5 days a week and both my parents & PIL are more than happy to help out

I have eleven months between my eldest. Dd is 10 and ds is 9 now, although for one month of the year they are the same age. THey are October and September though so not in the same school year. Congratulations and have fun!

In England they'll be in the same school year. The oldest and youngest people in my school year were sisters. (Sept snd Aug birthdays). I also know sisters 10 months apart.
