Birthing ball: I need a big one.

Guys I need a birthing ball, but I need one that's at least 75cm as I am quite tall, and midwife said it was pointless if my knees are not below my hips when I sit on it (which makes sense). I've tried almost everywhere but they're all 65 cm in the shops, which is far too small.
Anyone have any tips?

Go for special needs catalogues. The people who used to be called toys for the handicaped (tfh) and are now renamed and I can't remember what (!) have a great selection. Rompa have some as well- but tfh have more.

OK they're here Now called magic planet.

have a look at their selection of OT balls- bascially they're the same as birthing balls and they have a wide range of sizes.

Cheers! But are they based in America?

Had a quick look- they're basic therapy ball comes in three sizes- medium or large may be suitable.

No- I think the company is USA, but they have a UK branch- the link I've given is the UK link. I've ordered from them (UK) lots of times- no problems.

or maybe they're a UK company and I've given you the USA link (although there's a worcs address).

Anywya search on google as they definitely have a UK base., usually I have thier catalogue lying around but my mum has borrowed it for ds1's birthday present.

I got my extra large one from my physiotherapist. She ordered it from her specialist suppliers, so if you know any physios maybe he or she can help?

Celou · 21/05/2004 13:31

Cheers Lou33, that's the same site as the one Jimjams recommended.

Prettycandles, how big is yours? I don't think they do anything bigger than 75cm (but that's ok as 75cm is suitable for 5'8 or over, and I'm 5'8 and a half).
