blimey!

do you think she has 2 periods a month?

belgo · 21/12/2006 09:44

That's fascinating. Does that mean she has two vaginas as well as two wombs?

belgo · 21/12/2006 09:49

sorry, should say fanjos

lazyemma · 21/12/2006 09:52

I was trying to work out how everything would fit together too. It does say that the triplets were born by emergency caeserian - I don't know if vaginal delivery would be possible with this condition. Apparently it's rare but not unknown to have two wombs, even rarer to conceive a baby in each, but this is the first time triplets have been born this way.

23 and four kids! Whew! Good on her, she's young and has the energy.

I hope my daughters are the same.

If I had to do it again, I'd have had them young.

MrsJohnCuSackFullOfPresents · 21/12/2006 09:56

yes could do with some more detail on this (nosy)! I suspect it's 2 wombs but everything else is as per usual. But then did she have to have a C-section or do both wombs lead to one cervix/vagina?

whatevr, how lovely and how amazing all 3 survived - lovely story

On a similar note, a question whih has been bugging me for a while - is it at all possible (even one in a million chance) to get pregnant while already pregnant?

tissy · 21/12/2006 10:02

don't think so, bumper, as the pregnancy hormones would prevent release of eggs

mrsratty · 21/12/2006 10:06

Also your cervix tightens and the plug of mucus will prevent any sperm getting through.

Apparently so: news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/1651259.stm

I feel freakishly normal

paulaplumpbottom · 21/12/2006 12:41

I think you can you know. I read a story once of a woman who had her babies several months apart because she conceived at diffrent times.

a similar story i read in a magazine in a docotrs surgery last year, a woman had 2 wombs and had a baby in each one, this particular woman did have 2 vaginas but had already had an operation to remove one but still had the 2 wombs that were perfectly fine and connected to fallopian tubes, she was told that one of the wombs was not needed and would probably never be used to house a baby, but she became pregnant in both wombs, anyone else remember this story.

TurkeyTrotter · 21/12/2006 19:13

yes kidstrack i saw a documentary on the woman and her pregnancy!

whatwouldjesusdo · 21/12/2006 19:46

What an amazing pregnancy. (and I was moaning about one baby in one womb)
