Where does baby nap during the day.

I'm debating whether to buy some sort of reclining chair to keep downstairs so baby can nap. Either that or have Moses basket that we can bring down. My previous babies hated the Moses basket mind you and never slept. What does everyone else do. I have two other children and a dog so need some where safe to put baby.

Cocoonababy on the bed (we have a bungalow) but could be placed on any surface while the baby is very young (0-3 months). It's a stiff foam so you can lift it with the baby in it and it doesn't deform or wake them. We found it v handy.

We had a moses basket downstairs but we also ended up bringing the cocoonababy down & letting DS nap in there.

They're great aren't they villainous?! Pricey thought unfortunately.

Second baby coming soon, I'm not even going to try all the "putting the baby down to nap" stuff that never worked last time (we tried bassinet etc). Have bought myself some lovely second-hand slings/wraps, and am accepting that DH and I may as well carry the baby comfortably, seeing as last time we ended up having to just hold her all the time in our arms anyway.

I've just bought the tiny love Rocker Napper. Basically it's a bouncer chair that you can recline into a sort of carry cot position. Apparently some people even use them instead of a Moses basket. We will have our Moses basket upstairs and this downstairs. I found that DC1 would fall asleep in her bouncer chair but unfortunately, they're not safe for sleep and there have been a few cases of young babies heads falling to the side and compromising their airways. This way, if the next baby falls asleep in the bouncer, I can just recline it into sleep mode! Got it with £30 off to which is always a bonus :)

Has anyone tried the baby Bjorn bouncer chair. I have heard it reclines but not sure if it is safe for proper naps as the baby isn't flat. Was debating the tiny love napper too.

I've got what Fairy has got ^^ dd is 10 days old and slept in it for 4 hours during the day yesterday! She loves it. My friend gave it to me and it's been fab. I put a lambs wool inside so it's cosy.

Oh and ds loves that he can control the lights and vibrate when she's awake to calm her down while I'm cooking etc :)

I had one of those chairs and I could put it flat. Also the pram is great.

Now DS is bigger I just wrap him up in a blanket and put him on the rug!

I used the pram (lie flat) or bouncy chair downstairs and Moses basket upstairs for the first two. For number 3 we had a Moses basket downstairs and a small rocking crib for upstairs. I also had a Phil and Ted's with a removable cocoon which was handy for when not at home.

Carry cot from pram and a bouncy chair, sometimes In a playpen to stop the dog licking the babies.

And yes I have other children. 2 toddlers. It's a bit of a juggle.

I try to use the carrycot from the travel system for daytime naps. It has a decent hood that blocks the light well and he will not fall asleep if the light gets on his face.

He has silent reflux though and until his medicine reduced how acid it is, he could only nap upright, even the rocking chair and car seat were too reclined to stop it, so I used a woven wrap sling. He hated going in it but dropped off within minutes and would sleep longer like that than sitting up on my lap, maybe due to a slight forward tilt. I don't know how I'd have coped without it.

I love the idea of those rocker nappers above.

I had a baby bjorn bouncer. I didn't feel it reclined enough for a newborn in my opinion, not for long naps anyway. I had a sleepyhead which I could put pretty much anywhere or she slept on me or in the sling.
