So I've been looking at the Graco next to me or the snuzzpod for cosleeping however I've seem this on ebay... am I being blinded by the cheap price? Is it a case of too good to be true? Wary because there's no brand I can look up for reviews Confused

First and foremost, you would want to wedge the cot in against the bed. We had the bed pushed against the cot which was then pushed against my dressing table, which was then pushed against a wall.

Not sure how well I have explained that but you don't just want the bed positioned next to the cot and that's it. Because when you have a crafty quickie with DH move around in bed, the cot and bed jiggle away from each other. So wedge it in first.

You can also cable-tie the legs/casters of the bed to the legs of the cot.

Then, if you google you will find some people go whole-hog and buy some foam mattress and cut a piece exactly to size to cover the gap. I don't go that far.

I use a rolled-up cot blanket between the gap. A rolled towel does the same or, as PP said, a swimming noddle works nicely.

Also with a full cot you will have to climb into bed from the bottom, a co sleeper is about half way up the bed. If you end up having a c-section this might be tricky at first.

FATE I think I get where you're coming from. I'm thinking cot against wall then bed next to cot... will leave only a small gap on my side but it's manageable and like you say hopefully nice and wedged in. I guess we'll see.
Thanks everyone whose contributed

We have the standard cot with the side off, mattresses level, separate fitted sheets. They are pushed right up against each other; there really is no gap. You could push your fingers into the space, I suppose, but our thrashing, kicking, rolling 6 mo has never ever ended up in it, and definitely a new baby who cannot roll won't end up slipping into it. We use a Sleepyhead but DS ends up in our bed after his 4am feed as we are both asleep by the time he's done.

Oh sorry, missed the second page. Yep, cot against the wall, bed rammed right against cot. The only downside is the slight bumshuffle you'll have to do to get out. DH moved to a mattress on the floor for the first few weeks so DS and I had the whole bed to ourselves, no bumshuffling required. Now I don't mind it.

I'm borrowing a chicco next2me crib from my friend and buying a new mattress for it. There's loads selling on eBay I think they're quite popular!

I wouldn't risk it, the snuzpod has won lots of industry awards and the reviews online are amazing. If you're worried about price I have just bought mine for £152.10 with mattress and delivery. It's on sale here - www.cuckooland.com/dnc/cuckooland/product/46114/snuzpod-3-in-1-bedside-crib?cat=0

I found discount code SZPOD10 for 10% off. I think the promotion ends 30th Jan? Now I'm searching for cheapest price on the accessories (code doesn't work) so I've posted this code on a few threads! Hope it helps :)

I have the Snuzpod and love it. I think they retain value quite well so could sell on to recoup some of the cost or even buy a second hand one yourself.

Got a snuzpod too. Live it if only I could get baby to sleep in it!
