Baby hiccups

What do they feel like? First time in 30 weeks the baby has woken me up during the night and it wasn't usual movement. I think it was hiccups as it was that sort of space in between each one.
As I was sleeping it's hard to think what it really felt like though

Rhythmic movement, almost like a heartbeat. Took me ages to realise what they were!

My baby hiccups quite a lot - they're more rhythmic than the kicks, and I feel them a bit lower down - kicks are towards the top of the bump, hiccups are towards the bottom. They can be really hard to sleep through!

It made me chuckle as I was telling someone earlier in the day that I don't get woken by the baby kicking during the night then I had 2 occasions last night with hiccups. It did feel like it had more of a rhythm to it than random places.
As I don't get it all the time I didn't mind being woken with it as I have pregnancy paranoia and it took me ages to accept that the baby doesn't kick at night (when everyone else's baby becomes more active) so I used to wake up worrying about the baby

sepa Just to reassure you I also have a quiet baby at night and have never been woken up. Like you I was also worrying as all I heard about were other people's 'midnight ravers'. I'm hoping the quiet nights continue when I finally get to meet him!

My baby hiccups several times a day (I'm 31wks). It feels like a heartbeat. He tends to hiccup when I eat or drink, when I walk too fast or move position (e.g. if I bend over or move sleeping from one side to the next). I've no idea if these triggers are normal -anyone else have them?

It's the first time for me and that was when I was sleeping so no triggers that I am aware of. Baby may have them more that I am unaware of but I have an anterior placenta which hides movements from me
