Wasn't sure if it's standard procedure? He wants to come with me for moral support but would like advice on what others have done and whether there is much point in him being there (apart from the supportive aspect). I've heard it's quite long and boring?

Ah my DH came to mine and has been to scans and all but one of my MW appointments so far (37 weeks). He also came to my Antenatal classes too. I didn't need him there for any reason, but he wanted to come; it's our first baby and he likes to ask the MW questions too. There's nothing I wouldn't ask in front of him, this is the man that's cleared up my sh*t off the carpet when I once had a noro virus explosion Hmm!!!

It is quite boring, but nothing wrong at all with getting moral support.

If he wants to go and you want him there then take him with you! Everybody is different and having suffered a loss I can completely understand him wanting the reassurance of being more involved. Congratulations op xxx

In my experience, it's pretty much the most mundane of all pregnancy appointments. No scan, no Doppler, just a load for form filling and bodily fluid testing. It's nit worth the waste of time off imo.

Mine came to my first pregnancy booking appt but didn't with this one as he remembered how boring it was!
