Hi all, I just need to share this as I'm so shocked. I am 8weeks pg with our third. My symptoms are the most intense out of all pg's at this stage. I have been feeling nauseous all day for about 10 days, anyway the nausea changed tonight and new I was going to hurl so went upstairs to bathroom and braced myself. Omg, I literally wee'd everywhere! Spraying all over the place as I was hurling!!! I know after two pg's my pelvic floor isn't what it was but is this ok? It was ridiculous, like a fountain! I'm so stressed now as with other pg's I often had morning sickness whilst running to work, then later to nursery etc. I often (and I know all of this is tmi)
Just vommed in a hedge, gutter etc it was embarrassing but I was very discreet and nothing like the spraying happened. I'm thinking I need to actually buy incontinence pads as I've got the school run in the morning, no one knows I'm pg yet but even if they did how could I explain that is wet myself?! I'm 32 and a size 12, is this normal, has anyone else experienced this?

Don't the hormones relax all the muscles and ligaments around the pelvis during pregnancy? Maybe its that? Although I think its pretty common to lose control of your bladder when vomiting.
I remember a god awful moment in time when I had a sickness bug and vomited in bed and simultaneously pooped diahorrea because my whole body went tense and I couldn't control it.
Do some regular Pelvic floor exercises and wear a small tena lady or panty liner just in case, if it becomes a regular occurrence tell the mw.

Most people who have incontinence or episodes of incontinence do not discuss it with their friends and it is a lot more common than anyone would imagine, especially after a couple of pregnancies and whilst pregnant. If I were you I'd get some pads - just in case - but more importantly do your pelvic floor exercises a few times every day. Set an alarm on your phone if necessary to make sure you do them. If you do them daily throughout your pregnancy and after the birth, they should get stronger. You could also see your GP who may be able to refer you to a bladder specialist or a women's health physiotherapist to check everything and teach you the best way to do pelvic floor exercises.

I've had this with both my pregnancies - it's just the force of the vomiting. My eyes water like mad too. It's a bit grim and I did end up wearing pads until about 20 weeks. My pelvic floor is fine in general. I've heard it happening to people when they have sickness bugs - just one of those things. The joys of pregnancy eh?!

💐 thank you, I'll monitor it & wear pads in the meantime but will definitely mention it, tbh I've always found kegels so difficult, it's more that it just feels weird and makes me feel cringey, I know that's ridiculous but I've never really done them so no wonder I'm in this state Sad will persevere. Thanks again x

I pissed myself when puking a few times during pregnancy and this is my first pregnancy! Keep doing those pelvic floor exercises.
