pregnancy pillows -are they worth it?

I'm normally a tummy sleeper, but now my bump has come out I can't get comfortable on my front and finding that I roll onto my back and wake my husband with my snoring! I tried wedging a spare pillow inbetween my legs but it didn't seem to help. On a wim I bought a pregnancy pillow in tk max.today and wondered if I've made an expensive mistake, so before I take it out of the package I thought I'd ask here. It one of those that can be used in pregnancy and then shows pictures of uses once baby is here for feeding etc
Rrp £50, can that be true? Marked down to 29£. Have I been fleeced?

I've got the toys r us body pillow and it's been a godsend! Used it nightly since about 13 weeks and now 26 weeks, definitely worth it imo

I have a Dream Genii pillow and it's been worth it for me. I can't imagine sleeping without one now (38wks) and have used it every night since about 14wks.

Was so good for getting comfy while pregnant and at 9mos I am still using it in the arm chair in his room to prop him up for bedtime feed.

I've never used one (but did use a normal pillow under my bump for a few weeks around 20 weeks when my bump wasn't big enough to rest on the bed). I'm now 39 weeks and sleeping is ermmm pretty uncomfortable but more because my pelvis is having a good stretch and a pillow won't fix that. I mostly just didn't want to take up the bed completely with a massive pillow and leave no room for dh. I slept fine up to about 37 weeks so they are not a 'have to have' but I do know ladies who swear by them.

I had a dream genii. Hated it and binned it. No good if you are tall IME. Nothing lined up right.

I'm 18 weeks too and am finding it really hard not to sleep on my front. I bought one a few weeks ago from aldi for £12.99... Like a tight u shape one? Is that the same shape as yours OP? I can't figure out how to use it

I've still got severe SPD 19 years after having DS2 and I can't sleep without them. I did try a huge V pillow but it gave me a stiff neck, so I have one either side of me now.

I have a dream genii too, love mine. I used it when pregnant with dd and have used it since about 15 weeks in this pregnancy (31 weeks now). Also used it as feeding pillow with dd. Certainly got my money's worth out of it! Also recommended it to a colleagues relative who, after an operation, couldn't sleep comfortably with legs against each other. As far as I know he's loving it! They might have hidden the 'pregnancy pillow' term from him though...

Mine from John Lewis was a godsend and continued to be a godsend for using as a breastfeeding pillow for many months afterwards.

Dream genii was the difference between sleeping and not, from 14 weeks

I got a dream genii off eBay - I would have been annoyed if I'd paid full price for it tbh as it doesn't really help me much. But I think it's one of those things you won't know is for you or not unless you try it!

Definately recommended, I loved mine, Argos £14, with cover worth every penny

Bought a dream genii but I never used it in the proper position, it's good for angling around your neck and shoulders tho.

Thing is, you won't know what works for you until you try some. I would have been better off with a normal bolster pillow!

TwllBach Did you get one of these U shaped pillows? They are great for feeding baby & for behind my neck on my shoulders when sitting up in bed watching t.v & mumsnetting meditating

For lots of people, yes. I loved the Boppa wedges, got two of them. Some pillows will double as bf pillows and even if you don't use them in the early days, may become useful when your child is bigger.

Worth their weight in solid gold. Lots of uses after too, for breast feeding, for tummy time, stop baby rolling off stuff, on the sofa etc.

Yes. I had a dream genii last pg and gave started using it again this time around. I'm 17 weeks and just starting to be uncomfortable as I'm a natural Tummy sleeper.

Yes! Get one! I have a big long 13ft one and now use it for feeding. It's saved my back.
