I'm almost 33 weeks pregnant and have been convinced since day 1 I'm having a boy. We chose not to find out and I can't wait to be told once I've given birth!
I am just interested to find out If you had a strong inclination and if so, we're you right?!

At first I rally thought it was a boy, then swung to girl. Now I haven't got a clue.

We didn't find out and would be happy with either! :)

Everyone apart from my mum thinks it's a boy. Mum thinks it's a girl as contraryti how I'm carrying indicates boy, this is how she carried with me :)

We'll see!

Dogsmom · 22/11/2015 22:02

I was convinced my first was a girl from the moment I knew i was pregnant, I said "her" naturally without thinking and was right.

Second pregnancy was the polar opposite with symptoms but again I was convinced girl and was right again Smile

magpie17 · 22/11/2015 22:12

I was utterly convinced I was having a girl (I had no preference either way), when my son popped out I couldn't believe it! Now I couldn't imagine having a girl...

BikeRunSki · 22/11/2015 22:16

I was absolutely convinced I was having a boy both times, from pretty early on -12 ish weeks. I was right half the time.

MrsCrimshaw · 22/11/2015 22:22

I'm 37 wks and had no inklings at all - none whatsoever. Other people seem to have their theories because of the way I am carrying, but they all contradict each other ;)

I don't care what the gender is now, I just want this baby out!

Branleuse · 22/11/2015 22:24

I was wrong all three times

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 22/11/2015 22:26

Wrong with the first two.
This time I had several dreams it's a boy. Gender scan says boy but we shall see in a few weeks!

Purplehonesty · 22/11/2015 22:28

Wrong the first time - what a shock I got when ds was born.
Right the second time, but we confirmed it at 20 week scan.

ALongTimeComing · 22/11/2015 22:31

I thought girl. All the old wives tales were right, the ring test, I had horrendous sickness (HG) and the line trick for the scan photo. My husband was convinced it was a boy.

I used to try and talk to bump like it was a boy and always felt wrong. If I talked to it like a girl it felt right. Using he/she and the names we had chosen. (Not any tractor vs princess nonsense)

She's absolutely a girl! Grin. Love being right.

FellOutOfBedTwice · 22/11/2015 22:39

Yes I guessed correctly that DD was a girl but to be fair I did have a 50/50 chance Grin

mineofuselessinformation · 22/11/2015 22:46

DC1, thought I was having a boy, wrong.
Dc2, gave up guessing and wanted it to be a surprise like the first time.
I usually having a feeling about what other people's babies are going to be and haven't been wrong yet.... Hmm I never say anything though!

Cantputacockinavaseandcallitaf · 22/11/2015 22:50

I just knew, from day one. DH and both families, except my mum, were all utterly convinced that my DS was a girl. We booked a private scan and at 17 weeks found out that he was a he. I just completely refused to entertain any idea that I was having a girl. He's the love of my life - and I would adore a little girl, if I'm ever blessed with another baby - but either way, I'd never ever be disappointed. Good luck OP Grin

MamaDuckling · 22/11/2015 23:01

Right both times!

DS was an easy pregnancy, craved red meat and tomatoes. Far more hormonal/worse morning sickness with no.2 and lived on sweet stuff so I suspected a girl.

SeriousShitGoingDown · 22/11/2015 23:27

With DC1, we couldn't see on the scan but were very convinced it was a girl. Just quietly sure. We were right!

Mordirig · 23/11/2015 00:04

I always thought I'd have a boy first but found out I was pregnant with extreme surprise at 22weeks and yes he was a boy.
As soon as I tested for DD I hadn't even pulled my pants up before I just knew she would be a girl.
I am pg with DC3 and just as strongly as I did with DD I have very little doubt that this baby will not be a boy.
I can never guess anyone else's though :( I'm really bad at guessing the weight, length and time thing.

cranberryx · 23/11/2015 00:14

DP and I 'knew' he was a boy and have only been entertaining boys names - we've had about 8 scans for a medical issue and had it confirmed that he's a boy 8 times now.

If he comes out as a girl I will worry about sonography training in this country! Grin

princesspineapple · 23/11/2015 06:38

I've chosen to have a surprise, the same as you OP... But am convinced this baby is a girl! 2 of my friends are also pregnant and we've all said from day one we think they're all girls... their 20 week scans both proved which for some daft reason makes me even more sure! 16 weeks left to find out if we were all right!

bigfam · 23/11/2015 06:46

I was right with all four of mine. When I went for the ultrasound with baby no 4, mil came as partner was working. She'd convinced herself it was a boy (2 dd's and 1 ds) I told her, very seriously, not go get upset because I knew it was a girl. (I was right, but she still got upset, the sonographer thought she was crying happily but then looked at mil who was scowling at me!! Grin )

SparklyTinselTits · 23/11/2015 06:48

I was adamant that I was having a boy...all the old wives tales pointed to it. Wedding ring on the bump, Chinese lunar calendar - everything said "boy". Along came the 20 week scan and not even a hint of penis. Now have 7mo DD crawling all over the place

Iammad · 23/11/2015 07:28

Got the first 4 wrong, two boys and then two girls.
But the last two a boy and I'm 31 weeks with a girl (so all scans have said) I have got right.
Every pregnancy has been the same, no different what so ever with sickness, cravings etc.

possum18 · 23/11/2015 09:24

Everyone was so sure my twins would be one of each, I said from about 6 weeks I knew it was 2 boys, confirmed last week.. Twin boys!

mrsmugoo · 23/11/2015 18:47

This second pregnancy is totally different to my first and my family are all saying girl this time (I have one boy) but I'm convinced I'm the type of person that could have 6 kids and they'd all be boys.

GothJoose · 23/11/2015 21:28

From 8 weeks I was adamant I was having a girl. I liked being proved right!!

Paperblank · 23/11/2015 21:41

I'm convinced I'm having a boy. I said on another thread that it's only the kicks that remind me I'm pregnant. Without those I'd struggle to believe I'm having a baby*

Midwife says girl, but everyone else seems to think boy as well. I don't mind in the slightest and neither does DH, he just can't wait to meet his new best mate! Only another 13 weeks till we find out.

*Disclaimer: I am in the magical 2nd trimester. It may all go to hell in a handcart yet.

NewMrsX · 23/11/2015 22:24

I went into the scan room for my 12 week scan convinced I was having a girl. The moment I saw my baby on the screen I just knew it was a boy, it was such an overwhelming feeling. I told dh straight after and he laughed. I was right Smile
