Go for the lightest and one that folds up the smallest as possible to suit your lifestyle. I have a large boot and the buggy still takes up more than half!

The icandy Raspberry is a great first pushchair, i have it in this lovely bright yellow, i always get people checking it out. really good for use in the city and on transport!

As PPs have said it's all about what you need it to do.
I bought a cheaper travel system at first with DD as it had 'everything' I didn't need at a price I could afford. It was consigned to the loft when DD was 3mo as it was rickety, bulky, needed all the attachments removing before collapsing it, and most annoyingly ground practically to a halt the moment it touched grass. I bought a second hand Mountain Buggy Swift. For our needs it's great. It isn't pretty, but it's well-made, can handle any terrain, can lie flats so usable from birth (or you can get a carrycot for it), and folds easily with everything still on it. It'll be perfect when DC2 arrives too as I can have the baby in the push chair (laid flat) and DD on or using the cool scooter/buggy board attachment (although initially whilst DD's legs are still too little for whole shopping trips, baby in a sling and DD in the pushchair). For other people the fact it's still quite big when folded and has a small basket would turn them off, it's so personal.
The only thing I would recommend, is if you don't mind second hand, definitely think about getting something top of the range but preloved. So much bang for your buck, and you can find some really good barely used examples out there. Plus if you discover a few months down the line it doesn't fulfil your needs, you can sell it on for pretty much what you paid for it and get something else Wink

We've got the bugaboo bee. Lightweight, easy to push, folds in one piece etc. Will last 3+ years unlike a lot of travel systems that you very rarely see being used past a baby's 1st birthday as they can get quite heavy with a toddler in!
I remember buying a travel system with dc2 thinking it would be amazing and convieniant. Turns out he would scream everytime he got put in his car seat. The joy of Babies

Someone mentioned today that when ordering prams you might not get one straight away and have to wait a few weeks. Is this true? Anyone had this experience.Smile

I have the mothercare grey orb and I absolutely LOVE it.

Icandy's and the like are so overrated.

You need to think

  1. Safety ratings
  2. Space/car/storage
  3. Cost
