Really worried about this pregnancy

I'm about 8 weeks pregnant and I'm really concerned. I've had unexplained symptoms for 3 years. Doctors can't find a problem but my symptoms are exact to thyroid disorder. I think I have a mild thyroid problem that the doctors are keeping from me because I read somewhere that doctors don't tell patients about mild thyroid problems due to patients requesting treatment they can't give. I really believe I have a mild issue and im worried that because the doctors are not treating it then it could affect this baby and this baby could be born with problems. When I had the thyroid antibody test with my consultant and I went for my results he said its 'normal' I asked him if I had any antibodies and he said 'it's normal.' Then he paused and said 'even if you did have any we don't treat if it 'doesn't affect the cells' or something along those lines. By the way he spoke and diverted the convo I think they are hiding something from me and I'm so worried about losing this baby or it being born with problems. Has anyone ever had a baby with untreated thyroid problems and it's been healthy?

Is it possible to request your medical records? I think there would be a charge tho. Firstly I would suggest an open and Frank conversation with your gp. Good luck x

I found out at my initial IVF appt I have interactive thyroid. It is considered sub clinical by the bus and they won't treat so I've had to get private prescriptions for medication
Also had a private blood test and was found to have thyroid antibodies. I'm currently on levothyroxine.

You should be able to see your test results and blood test values. It's important to know your TSH level. I think it should be below 2.5 in first and second trimester and 3.0 or below in the third.

Mine was 4.48 at its highest and on the medication I've got it down to 1.7. Still have symptoms though

You need to find out what your TSH levels are. 'Normal' can be a wide range depending on how up to date your doctor's knowledge is, but as the previous poster said, it should be below 2 in pregnancy. Can you request a copy of your medical records?

Ask for the actual result numbers.

I got my TSH levels results that I had done at my GP surgery but I don't know how to go about getting results from the hospital I had done with consultant. That's where I had the antibody test done.
