Reduced movements at 27 weeks

I know that the best advice will be to get checked out but I just want to know if anyone else experienced anything similar.
I'm 27 weeks with my first baby and from 22 weeks had been feeling loads of movement.
This peaked last week where even through my clothes we were seeing full on kicks. We would lie on the sofa and play music and watch it kicking my phone off my tummy.
On Friday I barely felt a thing.
On Saturday I woke up feeling like I couldn't breathe. It was like the baby had suddenly shifted really high up and was crushing me. I couldn't even drive I had to get my husband to so I could recline the passenger seat. I didn't feel any movement Saturday.
I used the doppler yesterday (sunday) and babies heart beat is still there and still what it usually is (140-155) which is the only reason really that I've not taken myself off to hospital.
This morning i have felt a very very small amount of movement but it's more in my back I still can't feel anything in my tummy as such. I've tried all the advice they say to get it moving and nothing works, all I'm feeling is just a very faint thud deep inside me.
is it possible the baby has flipped over and if so is it now unlikely that I'll feel movements?
I don't want to waste the hospitals time because there is still a heart beat and I don't see what they'll do different there if I go down?
Any advice would be appreciated

Community midwife has finally just called me and said I can go down to see her at the doctors at the end of surgery tomorrow if I'm still worried then! She agreed that they don't do monitoring until 28 weeks and said even if I turn up at the hospital they still won't do it they'll just use doppler. I told her I've used the doppler again today and it's still normal and she basically said "well what are you worrying about then! ?"
it's annoying as I haven had no issues during the pregnancy but now I have I think they just think I'm being a nuisance!
I had a wagon wheel (! !) not long ago and I'm sure I could feel something so I'm going to see what happens over the next few hours.
Thanks for the help and advice x

A slab of apple pie Blush (sorry baby) and lots of poking later, tonight I have finally started feeling proper kicks again.
Not feeling very confident in the service I've been given by nhs though.
I hope this isn't a sign of things to come! X

That's great OP.
Just remember you know what's normal for your baby and if you're ever worried don't hesitate to pop into your maternity unit.

I wouldn't be impressed either, I've never known a midwife be so uncaring and unsupportive! So pleased you've been feeling some movements!! Xx
