I've used them and plan to again. Anything specifically you'd like to know? Also, you'll probably get more responses if you move this to the cloth nappy section Smile

We used these and were very pleased with them.
They rarely leaked and ds was comfortable in them.
They take ages to dry though, even in a tumble drier.
If you line dry them they can go a bit crispy feeling, but if you rub he fabric together, it makes them soft and fluffy again.

I had the bamboo ones for dd1. I liked how soft they were but they took ages to dry and I found the 2 piece system a bit of a faff. For dd2 I bought the osfa ones and got on with them a lot better because they dried quicker and leaked less. I think they worked out cheaper too because of the one size design. And they come in pretty colours Wink

Little lambs customer service is fantastic too Smile

Ooh I didn't know there was a cloth nappy section but I'll definitely try to find it. I was wondering if they will fit a newborn? Also I was considering using cotton or microfibres for day and getting perhaps 4 or 5 bamboo ones for night. Is this worth doing or can I get by with just cotton or microfibres? I can't have all bamboo I don't think as I need something that dries a little quicker. Is 5 wraps enough? And also one general question which may be a bit silly. I have seen you can get reusable or disposable liners. Are these instead of or in addition to the inserts and boosters? And if they are in addition what exactly are they for? Extra absorbency or just to make nappy changes easier or something else entirely? Thank you for your replies so far.

Hi cold. Does the osfa style nappy fit a newborn comfortably?

Oh Little Lamb, so soft and lovely and utterly bomb proof IMHO.
I think you're right in starting with a selection of a small amount of nappies and seeing what suits your lifestyle. I became a total nappy junkie.
Liners are for poos, you can either flick it off in the loo and pop it in the machine (less gross than it sounds) or just flush it away. I went with resueable.

You don't need liners with the osfas, and yes they will fit a newborn. I didn't like paper liners so used fleece with the bamboos (the little lamb ones). I had 20 nappies and 10 wraps of each size which was plenty. I had bamboo boosters too. They take around a day outside or 2 days inside to dry, plus I put them in the dryer for 20 mins to soften them up.

Fleece liners will also protect your baby's skin from the wet nappy

ispyfispi · 11/10/2015 14:57

Boosters/inserts boost the absorbency of the nappy and the liners are for easy disposal of solids. Some flush away but the fleece reusable ones are good as they keep moisture away from the skin.

Little lambs has a trial pack of 1 each bamboo, cotton and microfibres plus one wrap and 2 pocket nappies, one sized and one osfa for £42. I wonder if it would be worth getting that and some fleece liners. I could use a combination of that and disposables once baby is here, figure out which of the nappies work for us and then stock up on them. What do you think?

When are you due? If you like them on Facebook they give advance warning of their sales - I got 16 osfas for £60 or something. Do your local authority offer a nappy trial service, or financial incentive for using reusables? I got £50 per child so it's worth looking into.

There's a Facebook selling group for preloved and therefore super soft and absorbent little lamb nappies. It's called little lamb nappies for sale or something. Also other Facebook cloth nappy selling groups. Have a look at the thread from yesterday on this page down below. Lots of info.

doobeedee · 11/10/2015 17:56

Check your Bounty pack too. There's often a code to get the trial pack half price in there!

ispyfispi · 11/10/2015 20:28

That sounds like a great plan Smile

Love little lamb nappies. We usually buy when they're on offer and particularly like the sized pockets and osfa. Another option is to look for a local nappy library and try a variety of different nappies to see what works best for you.
