Hi all,
I'm getting horrible nausea and sickness overnight, from about 7pm through to 6am then I'm fine all day! I'm getting about 1 he sleep but broken into several patches of 10 mins max. I'm shattered for work and I do a lot of driving. Is there anything I can take to help me sleep at least? I'm 6w+4.
Thanks so much xx

Maybe it's due to your blood sugar dropping at night. Worth trying a snack in the evening/before bed?

Defo try eating overnight. Take some biscuits or something dull to bed and chomp on it when you are feeling rough.

And maybe see your gp? I had anti sickness drugs to see me through.

If you're sick that much then its worth going to your gp and seeing if they can help with something to alleviate the sickness. the stuff I am using (cyclizine) is more helpful for the nausea than actual vomiting but if you're ill that often, there's a good chance that your doc will be sympathetic and try to prescribe something to help. They will also keep an eye on dehydration. is there an option for you to speak to your employer about stopping the driving temporarily? I had to tell my employer early about my pregnancy for a few different reasons and they were very understanding and flexible. Goodluck and congrats.

Hi all, ok it sounds like a gp trip! I don't drive for a living, I just have a decent commute so usually coming home it's hard for me to stay awake (not to mention the unintentional afternoon desk snoozing!)
Thanks all, I'll keep some crackers by the bed tonight and see if I can nibble xx

Hi all,
After the umpteenth night kept awake by the nausea and sickness I went to our care centre and have been prescribed Promethazine. Hopefully that will do the trick :-) xx
