Wow things are getting tough now. Am experiencing the following:

Lack of sleep
Increased heartburn
Agonising back pain
Shooting vaginal pains
Pain walking
Menstrual style cramps
Hormonal
Nausea
Frequent gas
Diarrea
Constant urination
Braxton Hicks and strong movement

Please tell me this won't carry on for another 3 weeks, I have to be close, right? It hurts to walk, stand, sit, can't sleep etc. I'm 3/5 engaged and feeling strong intense movements too. What are the chances labour is close?

Wow mils, surely with all that you can't go a further 2 weeks! It has to happen any day right?!

Hi loobrush,

You poor thing! I think I'm so naive cos it's my first, I'm like 'yay back pain, labour is coming!' Then it just doesn't!!! It can't go on for much longer for any of us (maximum 4 more weeks for me and even less for you guys, we just have to hang on in there!)

Yes, ladypug lets think positively and tell ourselves that it will only be a few weeks more maximum and then we will have a lifetime of love with our little bundles.

When I was pregnant with my first I was constantly thinking that every niggle was a sign that labour was starting (but I have much more constant pain this time around) and I want to hospital once with a false alarm. In reality when I actually went into labour with my first there was no mistaking that it was labour, my waters went with a huge bang and contractions started straight away and he was born within 2 and a half hours. With my second baby the contractions came first but they wear strong and unmistakabely real labour, my waters went within an hour and baby was born 2 hours after that.
Even though I know what labour feels like I am still examining every braxton hick, every twinge and every cramp Blush

Ladypug · 06/10/2015 11:33

Haha well that helps me a lot as I've been going 'ooooh that felt different, maybe labour is starting...' I will get a rude awakening when it actually happens! Here is praying that labour starts fairly soon for all of us!

I know this is crazy! With my 1st, I lost my plug on my due date and then waters broke a few hours later and I went straight into labour. There were no warning signs at all!
This one has kept me on my toes for that last 2 weeks!
Trying to keep distracted but Its so hard! Hopefully something happens for us all soon.
The crazy thing, is I know what it will be like when the baby arrives and how much I'll be longing for some rest, so I really should just try and make the most of having some rest! Haha

dotladotla · 06/10/2015 19:57

I feel your pain! Try to distract yourself because I'm 40 weeks tomorrow and still no baby!

Iamnotloobrushphobic · 09/10/2015 11:24

Any news mils?

I have had my mucus plug come away this morning and have had lots and lots of increased pain and pressure for the last 48 hours. I am really hoping that labour starts this weekend.

DownUdderer · 09/10/2015 11:53

good luck ladies, I'm hoping to start labour soon, this is my third and I'm getting almost constant braxton hicks pains, and never had them with the last two, so I'm fed up now!!

I hope maybe some of you have had your babies by now?

dotladotla · 09/10/2015 16:07

I'm now 40+2 and nothing is happening. We even went for a big walk today and I went on a swing in the park to coax it out but it's too comfy! Booked in for a sweep on Tuesday if nothing has happened.
I hope that's it starting for you iamnotloobrushphobic

Hey loobrush,

Hoping things are happening for you :-) I'm just gone 38 weeks now and still nothing, come on baby!

38 weeks today and never been more uncomfortable. Doctor told me yesterday that "things are happening" but I wish they would happen a little quicker. Now they want to do a growth scan because my little girl apparently had a growth spurt this last week and now I'm measuring two weeks ahead when before I was right on schedule. If she's bigger does that mean she'll come earlier? Why do I think I already know the answer to that. Sad

Iamnotloobrushphobic · 09/10/2015 18:48

Unfortunately, ladypug, I have had no signs of active labour yet Sad. I lost the entire plug (or what seems to be its entirety) this morning and then had a couple of very soft stools (sorry TMI) and then nothing since to indicate that I am any closer to active labour.

On the bright side my other two labours kicked in at 5am in the morning so here's hoping that I might have some more signs early tomorrow.
Fingers crossed that we all go into labour soon and deliver our little bundles safely.

Iamnotloobrushphobic · 09/10/2015 18:51

jurisane I am also measuring two weeks ahead after being the correct size until the last two weeks. The midwife didn't seem concerned and hasn't referred me for growth scans but my last baby was almost 10lb so that could be the reason she is not concerned. My last baby was 2 days late despite his size.

dotladotla · 10/10/2015 08:57

I was showing too big for my growth chart from 32 weeks but they didn't seem concerned and it levelled off at my 39+6 appointment, although I really think it depends who measures you because I get different midwifes. I'm now 40+3 and no baby but it doesn't seem to be getting any bigger!

sonyak87 · 10/10/2015 09:57

Omg I feel your pain ?? im 39&4 was booked for an induction yesterday and sent home as the neck of the womb is facing my back ?? they don't want to risk a c section as its my 4th and last baby and had them natural. Anyway,Iv spd this ?pregnancy so im struggling to walk/sit/ly down,I have it since around 6 months,I get strong pains everyday, lots of pelvic pressure etc and suffering with migraines on top of that. I haven't slept a full night in around 2 months (no joke) this part of ?pregnancy is seriously no fun and everyday is the same question "is this labour?" "Is this the beginning"
Im due Tuesday and im absolutely miserable ??

Ladypug · 10/10/2015 10:08

Well at least I'm not alone and it doesn't even sound like I have it that bad compared to others so I'm going to stop complaining! Plus since I started this thread it's now only 2 weeks till due date and not 3 which makes me feel better - making progress! Smile

Hey!
Nope Nothing! Just lots of cramping, upset tummy still and nauseous.
Starting to think I am going to go over now and mentally prepare for thatAngry
Yesterday I felt so ill and thought to myself, if I went into labour now how would I find the strength to get through it!
Good luck to everybody :))
