Hi ladies, can anyone help? I'm 10 weeks but have really bad morning sickness, I have the feeling more than the sickness but if I eat anything I bring it back up? What's the best thing for it?? I've tried ginger biscuits and other things but it doesn't help??

Hi I suffered HG and it was horrendous eat small and often and definitely do not let yourself go hungry as it makes it worse. Try plain foods nothing to heavy even when your throwing it back up baby is still getting some nutrients. Keep hydrated and go to your gp if your constantly sick I was given sickness tablets x

Water and I had fruitella sweets which helped.
I bought crystallised ginger from Holland and Barrett too.

You can buy travel sickness bands which seemed to ease the sickness a little for me

I swore by ice pops (this was in July when it was really hot though) as liquid was easier to keep down and at least I was getting some sugar into me - found that I would feel quite shaky and dizzy when I didn't. Ritz crackers were also amazing, during one particularly bad week I kept a box on my bedside cabinet!

For a long time the only thing I could manage was dry rice krispies.
After a while (TMI here) I discovered if I ate a little amount of something I would be sick, but could then immediately eat again and keep it down.
Yes to little and often, and also try to not get too tired. I was off work for nearly 4 months.
Second time round I persuaded the GP to give me meds, as I had the toddler to look after as well by then.
Ds is nearly 14yo now and I still can't face ginger not that it worked in the first place

Salt and vinegar crisps seemed to help me a bit (not regular walkers, only baked as they weren't greasy at all!). Hope you feel better soon-my Ms is back this week after giving me a 3 week break and I feel rubbish Flowers

Hi there, apparently there's so recipe working for everyone, you may find what generally works here: www.mumsnet.com/pregnancy/morning-sickness.
What helps me: ice pops (also to keep hydrated), sour cola candies, crackers/chips, salted peanuts, ham/cheese sandwiches. Definitely try to eat little but often. If nausea is untolerable (happening to me before bedtime) I try with a ginger/lemon herbal tea with lemon juice in it: it usually works - either calms the sickness or makes me vomit but then I feel better enough to fall asleep.
Hope you feel better soon! Here 14+6 and still coping with sickness, but way better than a month ago...

There's a support thread here for those with bad sickness/hg

This website is very helpful too:
Pregnancy sickness support

I don't think I kept anything down for about 7 or 8 weeks. My GP prescribed any sickness meds, and I tried several but none took the overwhelming feeling of nausea away.

The important thing is to stay hydrated. At my worst all I could do was melt ice cubes in my mouth. I spent a lot of time in hospital being rehydrated on a drip, and had several admissions in both pg.

Then at around 16 weeks it just stopped.
