Hi, I'm just finishing off thorough pram research and after lots of reading and test driving we are going with a Buffalo. I love the look of the all black frame but wondered whether any scratches show through to the silver metal and therefore stand out like a sore thumb? Thanks in advance.

We had the all black frame chameleon. Used for x2 children full time and sold on in perfect condition. I don't remember any scratches

If it does scratch cant you spray it over with car paint spray?

Thanks Artandco that's great.

Can't be doing with a respray but I suppose you could always do that, good point! I'd rather get the silver frame if there were issues with the black scratching through to silver.

We had an all black Cameleon and an all black Bee Plus for DS1. Followed by an all black Donkey when DS2 came along and I've just sold the Donkey and bought an all black Buffalo. So far only the donkey ended up with a (tiny) scratch when OH dropped something on it. Other than that no scratches and they've all been in near daily use.

Thanks Scandi, how are you finding the Buffalo after trying all of them? I wasn't sure on the Bugaboos until I went to 'test drive'. Gave so many prams a good shake and they were the only brand that didn't rattle and creak. Not to mention the height the handle bar goes etc etc

I think I would find the buffalo too big. We loved the chameleon, but tbh the folding it up was a pain, and it was heavier than I would have preferred up hills, and quite large for a small child tbh. We bought 6 years ago when all the smaller options of good quality weren't around. If we started again I think I would go straight for the bugaboo bee. It has a soft carrycot or full size if you want for newborn, but just much more practical as time goes on in terms of throwing in and out car, on planes, trains, buses, smaller in crowds, still parent faces etc

I have a bugaboo bee and (if all goes to plan) this baby will be using it from newborn. I have a Phil and Teds and a bugaboo frog (similar to chameleon) but I love the compactness of the bee.

My all black donkey didn't scratch any easier than my silver although when it did it would be more obvious, I was so paranoid about it scratching the black that we are getting another silver one for this baby (stupidly sold ours)
