Pregnant with polycistic ovaries

I'm 11 weeks pregnant with DC2 and found out I've developed polycistic ovaries between DS and DC2. GP is fairly sure I don't have PCOS as I've gotten pregnant naturally twice within a few weeks of trying. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience while pregnant of having PCO but not the syndrome? I feel very sick and crampy with very sore lower back much worse than with DS. Does anyone have experience of sickness in pregnancy caused by PCO? And does it cause any complications for the rest of the pregnancy or birth? Hope someone else has experienced this - can only find stuff about PCOS online but not PCO. Thanks.

I have pcos (ie have the cysts but also the insulin resistance, hurstutism, etc) and I have caught pregnant 1st month of trying twice. It doesn't necessarily affect your fertility in that way. I always had fairly regular periods and didn't use contraceptive pill so as soon as we 'tried' we were pregnant. Be aware of your increased risk of GD with pcos, and I also found that after having my son my pcos symptoms got worse, and this pregnancy they have been extreme (eg. Facial/body hair, GD is worse and harder to control, gained lots of weight, skin coloration patches etc).

Also had bad sickness in these two pregnancies - there is a link between pcos, morning sickness, GD and magnesium deficiency but I'm not sure of the details.

I have polycystic ovaries and did not suffer with any sickness, although did have cramping pains low in my stomach up until about 12 weeks. I was also tested for GD but don't have it. So far have had a very straight forward and healthy pregnancy with no complications.

I have PCOS and was told I was unlikely to get pregnant naturally as how bad it is. I am now 22 weeks gone. I had the bad cramps but no sickness till now. I do also suffer with ibs so the sickness can be linked to that. everything is fine with pregnancy but having the gtt test done in two weeks to check for GD. if that comes back fine then my pregnancy is a healthy one :) good luck with yours too

I have PCOS and no one has ever told me that the syndrome is anything more than just having more than one symptom. I used to get irregular periods, and infrequent ovulation. I also have a hairy chin and find it tricky to lose weight. I also have an insulin problem. When pregnant I had GD both times and controlled it well the second time.

Post pregnancy my periods are fine although very heavy, and they are regular for the first time in my life. The hairiness thing was better for about a year but it's back with a vengeance now (DS2 is 6!)

Everything works better when I lose weight. Oh, and no morning sickness at all for me.

I was advised to take metformin through my pregnancy to reduce the risk of miscarriage and GD.

I have pcos and had a cyst ruptured in my ovary at 5 weeks pregnant now 28 weeks pregnant I have GD diet controlled and have the excess hair but not the weight gain I haven't gained a thing at all so far in my pregnancy still the exact same weight as before. My sickness is terrible and heartburn is shit but I don't think think any of this is directly linked to my pcos as there all common in pregnancy anyway so not sure u can directly link and blame pco/pcos for the severity of them. I have the cramps and back ache but with damaged spine I expect most of back ache anyway x
