I am new to this site and was so very glad to read the posts on anger. Normally I am a very easy going person, very slow to anger, however since reaching 21 weeks i don't know what's happened to me! All a bit scarry!! I feel like I am irritated, angry and moody with everyone for the slightest thing. My dh told me last night he didn't know what was wrong with me! Feel like someones came in and stole my personality. Last week I had an incident with a neighbour and really felt like I wanted to kill her!! I mean what's going on her? Does it get better?

yep. When i was pg with my dd i was a bitch. Mums used to run from me at the school gate. I was grumpy, snappy , miserable and generally quite unpleasant. As soon as dd was born it was like a big cloud was lifted off of my head. One mum actually hugged me and said "allie, you're back" It's perfectly normal. Just try and take a deep breath or time out when you can feel the rage mounting hth

I'm exactly the same. Normally, I'm very easy-going, and it will take an awful lot before I get angry. But since becoming pregnant, my temper is so short, and my husband thinks I've had a humour-bypass!
And whereas I normally have a tendency to cry at everything and anything, I sat through Children in Need completely dry eyed. I'm so hard, now!

I've been angry rather than tearful this time round too. This is my 3rd pg so luckily dh knows the score and lets me get on with it . The dopey assistant in Argos got the sharp end of it yesterday, which is SO unlike me normally. I'm 36 weeks now though and look as though I'm ready to pop so I could feel everyone else in the queue thinking 'oh, she's a bit hormonal' . Ah well, it'll all go back to normal after the birth and the hormones have settled down again!

I had a few loony moments myself.

I think if you can calm yourself rather than let it get out of hand, its better for you in terms of adranaline and rest etc.

But also, don't beat yourself up about it - its totally normal. My doctor laughed when I told him and said he'd heard many many times, the same stories.
