Mobility issues - pram/buggy

Hi all,
I'm having trouble researching buggies/prams that fit my needs.
I am looking for a sturdy robust buggy/pram that is easy to fold and as lightweight as possible. I have heard some that fold standing upright, has anyone got the names of the ones that does this?

Has anyone here had experience with getting buggy/prams in and out boots with bad back and minimal lifting abilities.
Many thanks in advance. Smile

I'm not much help but from my own pram search I would recommend you look at the Baby Jogger Citi Mini and also Bugaboo Bee! :)

I have scoliosis of spine and damaged discs in spine and I went for icklebubba it's so light moves easier than anything I have pushed. I the car seat is very light aswell and it's not expensive but it's so lightweight could lift it with one hand x

Another vote for the bugaboo bee- very light and easy to fold but also sturdy.

I have a bad back and went for the Uppa baby vista.

What mountain said! The Bee is very light (I have one and it was easy to push post C-section) but I have always been jealous of the one-handed folding mechanism of my friend's City Jogger...

Many thanks

ARV I tried out the uppababy vista today and could believe how heavy and awkward the folded chassis was. I can't imagine being able to lift it into the car boot ( I have a bad back). How do you manage?

I don't know... my baby isn't here yet.

I did find it ok when one tried it in John Lewis though.

It's currently folded up in my hallway...

I got the baby jogger city mini, incredibly easy to fold & one of the lightest ones we could find. It also fits in the small boot of my car unlike many others!

We also got the britax dualfix car seat as it turns so can face you when putting baby in the car. It's expensive (£350) but it lasts until they're 4 yrs old & I figure if it saves my dodgy back its worth it.

Thanks both. I'm pretty convinced about the baby jogger gingernut

I have RA throughout my body especially my hands and hips so struggled to find a buggy that I could use to lean on instead of my sticks but I was also able to lift and put in my minuscule car.
I ended up with a Bugaboo Bee and it was seriously good. It was a few years ago now (he's now 7) and I'm sure there are different ones on the market but mine served me well. I also used a sling a lot when he was dinky so I didn't always have to use the buggy although that brought about its own problems.
