I am in absolutely agony with this heartburn/acid it's making me sick and I'm literally crying with the pain in my throat and chest when it's sitting there. I've tried peppermint, I've tried rennie, I've literally drank gaviscon out the bottle, cold water, hot drinks, ice poles, they help for about 10 mins then it's back. I want to go to bed but can't let down cod it makes it worse and I have to jump up out of bed before im sick or can't breath properly. What can I do?!
I don't know what's causing it (apart from the pressure of the baby, I'm 28 + 3) Can milk cause it?
I'm not having any spicy/citrus food.
Please can someone give me a remedy?? Thank you Sad

And now I've just been sick again.

I want this baby to come soon so I can get through a night without being sick.

What can I do to encourage my little darling to come soon?

Found this on the McDonalds website. Go have as many milkshakes as you want

Can I have McDonald's Milkshakes and McFlurrys if I am pregnant?
My partner's midwife hes advised her not to eat McDonalds shakes and McFlurries because of a risk of Listeria infection. Is there really a risk?

Email

Hi thanks for getting in touch. We can confirm that at McDonald's UK we do not use unpasteurised milk as an ingredient in any of our menu items. Listeria can be found in unpasteurised milk, in chilled foods including soft cheeses such as Brie and all types of pâté, unwashed fruit and vegetables or undercooked foods.
At McDonald's UK we only use pasteurised milk for our milkshakes and our ice-cream used in McFlurry desserts is pasteurised and does not contain eggs. We would always recommend that you discuss your diet with your doctor or medical professional during pregnancy. You can find the full ingredient declarations for all food served in the UK by visiting the Ingredients & Allergens pages in the Food Section of our website.

sterilised milk (full fat) is better than the regular stuff

cut out salt too

I discovered mcflurries during this pregnancy (never really been a fast food fan, but somehow pregnancy has turned me into one Blush) I had no idea there was some evil propaganda floating around that they're bad! Obviously not healthy, but clearly not full of Listeria.

In other news... I think my baby has started to engage.my bump has dropped significantly! My tummy feels LOADS better. Thank you baby, you must have heard me crying about the heartburn Grin hoping for a good night's sleep tonight Smile

sorry all only just come back to the thread and seen that I caused a but of a ruckus.

While pregnant I was specifically told by more than one healthcare professional not to have any kind of 'churned' ice cream or milkshake (eg Mr Whippy or McD's) not due to the milk used but due to the higher likelihood of germs being present in frozen milk products under those circumstances.

Now if that isn't current advice fair enough, fill your boots, but I wasn't "scaremongering" why would I?
