Are we seriously not allowed to use bleach in early stages of pregnancy?

I was shopping in Tesco today with a friend and in the cleaning aisle and went to get my usual Domestos bleach and my friend said i should be avoiding using bleach during the early stages of pregnancy. Is this true? I only want to put bleach down my loo lol. Are we seriously not allowed to use bleach at the moment x

Think bleach is ok, I used loads in early pregnancy, needed a sparkling clean loo for morning (all day) sickness.

I have to say my hubby has taken over bathroom cleaning duty, our bathroom is small and poorly ventilated and being in there for 15 mins with all those fumes can't be good for anyone. I do still clean the loo though (OH doesn't have quite the same standards as me!)

Weird thread!

But also all housework is banned in pregnancy Grin

I moved house when I was about 6 weeks pg and the filthy bitch previous owner had left the house in an absolute state. I spent hours on my hands and knees scrubbing the kitchen floor with neat bleach, as when I viewed the house I thought it had white tiles and black grout. It was not. It was white tiles with white grout it just hadn't been cleaned properly in forever.

Anyway, I digress. My point is my ds is fine the bleach did neither of us any harm.

And I'm Shock Hmm and Confused about the comments about the x and lol it really doesn't matter and I can't believe people have derailed your thread to mention it.

Like previous posters mentioned, I would continue to clean as usual, just be sure to use bleach in a well ventilated area....and of course if you feel faint I would stop for a little while.

As for the comments about what you should and shouldn't post (x, hubz, hugs, princess) WOWWWW...those people really need to find a hobby if they care so much about the language other posters choose to use. Write whatever you wish xx

I have to comment as I too can't believe people are so judgemental about what you write and how you write it. Do what you like, no one is any better than anyone else and certainly not because they choose to put a x, which is my opinion is just being nice and friendly. More people could do with adopting a friendly approach and not making people feel silly for asking advice on anything.
