6 week 2 days Ultrasound with Heartbeat

I had my 2nd ultrasound yesterday and was able to see my tiny bean on the.screen and listen to the heartbeat! Did anybody else hear the heartbeat this early?? What did it sound like for you? I actually had to ask the tech..."are you sure that's not my heartbeat" because I was so scared to be happy, surprised and overwhelmed!! Then came the tears!

OP are you saying your GP did the scan? how unusual. what part of the country are you in if you don't mind me asking?

Just to explain some of the curious responses you've had - most people's experience will be that in many (most?) areas of the country you don't see a gp during your pregnancy unless there is a specific issue, you just see a midwife - that's why a previous poster referred to not having seen a doctor, they have only seen a midwife throughout their pregnancy. The norm for the NHS is to offer two scans, at 12 and 20 weeks - normally done by a sonographer at the hospital, extra scans are normally only offered if there is a reason, hence some of the questioning replies.

Im currently 10 weeks pregnant but don't feel pregnant at all hav slightly sore breasts and have felt a bit more tired than usual but that's about it. Iv had 2 scans and seen babys heartbeat at 6 weeks but so worried im gonna have a mmc after having an ectopic in 2010
