I'm 18 weeks and since Friday I've had a few episodes of 'leaking' yesterday was the most concerning as when I stood up I actually felt a small gush Blush I really don't think it's wee as I'd been to the loo about 45 minutes earlier and it didn't smell. DP thinks I should call triage but I'm a bit worries they will just tell me it's ridiculous amounts of clear watery discharge!! Anyone else had this?

I would ring them. They will not dismiss your concerns and it is much better to be safe than sorry.

Having an increase in discharge and feeling 'wet' is normal. I would still phone in though. Hopefully its nothing to worry about but best to get checked.

Your DP is right. You should call them and get checked over.

Whenever I've contacted my midwives with concerns in my pregnancies, they've always said that they'd much rather check someone over and it be a false alarm, than someone doesn't go and get checked (because they're worried about wasting midwives time or worried about looking silly) when there really is a problem.

I had the same last week (also at 18 weeks) and ended up going to triage after seeing the midwife. Mine was an increase in watery discharge which is apprently very common between 18 and 20 weeks (I didn't know) but they listened to the hb and checked my cervix. I would definitely give them a call and they may ask you to come in for a check, it is very likely to be the same as my experience but you will feel better having been checked. Also, make sure you wear a pad as they may want to see it. Best of luck to you.

Also, they will absolutely not dismiss your concerns. The midwife there told me they would much rather see false alarms than risk not seeing someone who was worried they would waste time. At the end of the day they are very busy and resource is stretched, but they are there first and foremost to support you.

Definitely definitely give them a call. Could be waters.

I've had a couple of episodes of this over the last few days, appears to be very common at this time (I'm 20 weeks). Read loads of this on mumsnet so have to say I haven't mentioned it to anyone, maybe I should!

I called triage and went in for a check and all okay, they said it's quite common at this stage but best to be safe than sorry :)
