Appreciation for our OH

I've been whining and feeling sorry for myself with GD today after a really careful day resulted in stupid high readings for no reason. OH spent ages making me a lentil dhal stuffed with extra spinach and veg. And promptly made me cry.

It made me think that we see lots of threads where a partner has done something daft or worse, so let's have some appreciation! What does your OH do to support you that is helping with being pg??

This is a nice thread. I wouldn't say my hubby has made any grand gestures but he has just made me feel looked after, has been doing extra around the house, doesn't let me lift things, makes sure I'm OK and don't want to go home early if we are out etc. Also keeps a constant supply of chocolate in the fridge for me which is lovely Smile I'm going to be sad when the baby arrives and he won't even look twice in my direction anymore haha

I love this! Smile My DH has been so kind and thoughtful. It's really the small things like washing up etc. and the back rubs have been a god send! He never complains about a single thing! I'm a lucky girl Smile

Ive been quite sick this afternoon, ran out of soda water (only thing that helps at the mo) so dh went to the shop to get some bless him. Only problem is he came back with a 2 litre bottle of cream soda as he thought it'd be nicer for me, took one sip and heaved again, its the strongest vanilla smelling cream soda ive ever tasted, like drinking perfume!

Bless him he's so good, im just supping it and pretending to like it like a good wife seen as he went to the shop specially! I cannot complain at all.

My OH has been amazing. Although we don't live together and my place to his is 7 miles he makes sure he goes out his way for me. Lucky my work is only 15-20 min walk to his but after seeing my struggling to walk just that he picked me up from work.

Also the other day I has a horrible day at work (long story short, we had an armed robbery) and he came to pick me up and to calm my nerves, he took me out for a meal.

When I'm I'll he stops talking to his friends online so he can rush to me if I get worse, he tried his hardest to make me the perfect hot chocolate and got me a hot water bottle so I could sweat out my cold.

So happy I'm marrying him. He's definitely a keeper.

Aww, this is such a lovely thread, it made me cry!
I am also lucky to have a lovely man! We tried to get pregnant for 4 years and are so happy to be 11 wks pregnant now! I was lucky not to be too ill but I did feel rather queasy for some time and cooking would make me feel worse! My lovely man did lots of cooking for me. He worries about me lifting things (even though I think he's being silly) and has been doing most of the housework. He's very excited about our first scan which is very sweet and generally helps me along every step of the way! I also wouldn't want to do this with anyone else!

This thread has made me smile a lot!

Mine is currently in the kitchen trying to make pizzas with a cauliflower and ground almond base to cheer up my dull gestational diabetes life!
