Baby kicks...

I'm 17+4 and am starting to feel little kicks. Eek! The movement can make me feel a little squirmy though and occasionally a sort of anxiety feeling. Can anyone relate?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes, I sort of don't like it but then worry when she is not kicking! At 25 weeks she kicks quite hard now too!

This is normal. It is a very weird feeling. The worse bit is when they (get a bit bigger) decide to punch/kick you behind your bellybutton or right in the cervix...oooof It is just horrible and lovely at the same time. Its also nice for dh/dp to help with the bond xx

I'm not looking forward to a belly button prod, haha. It's really strange - such a surreal feeling. I get a sort of sense of impending doom when it happens but I've no idea why. Just because it's so new I expect. x

I'm not sure if I've felt movement yet (still can't tell between normal bodily stuff & baby!) but have been feeling more anxious & bump feeling stranger than usual - maybe it's imminent!

I know exactly what you mean - I got used to them quickly though and like them now. But wait till you can actually SEE the baby move under your bump... Now that's really surreal!

DH hates the kicking. Freaks him out. We were spooning, and the first time it kicked it walloped him in the back.

I think the impending doom feeling is because the early flutters are similar to the stomach clenches you get from adrenaline. I find it reassuring to feel the baby move, I like it. Currently 15 wks with DC2 and I'm very impatient to feel him/her.

Having said that, I still remember the night when DS turned head down at 37 weeks. Although a relief that he wasn't in breech position anymore, it did feel like I was being disembowelled... Grin Grin
