Hi

I was planning to stop for mat leave 10 days before my due date, however I am now starting to think maybe it should be earlier?!?!

I am reducing my hours in the three weeks before. So 3 days, then 2 days and finally one day.

When is everyone else stopping?

Any advice?

Thanks

I'm stopping incredibl early, at like 30 weeks. But I work in the evenings in a busy restaurant and take away up and down stairs. The main reason is because DS starts school that week and I want to be around for him in the evenings. Reading this thread makes me think it's to early but with DS starting school and having a baby brother I just think it'll be nice for him to have me around more. Also I work weekends and when he's at school its the only time we could o away or anything.

Also, a lot of the customers are rude and if I'm there for much longer I'm gonna swing for someone.

I'm going to stop at 36 weeks - taking 3 weeks annual leave and then mat leave will start the week before my due date. Am 24 weeks now, and already counting down. My job is stressful and demanding with lots of evening events and travel and I'm just not enjoying it while I've been pregnant. Autumn is our busiest time of year, and I just wanted to finish before I get sucked too far into the stress and drama of it. Hopefully I've timed it so I'll go off just as it starts...!

I'm currently 36 weeks, physically easy office job, and planning on stopping 10 days before my due date. I'm REALLY REALLY regretting leaving so late. I'm exhausted, it's incredibly uncomfortable sitting at a desk, my brain is mush, and I'm getting really stressed about finding the time to do all the preparation, like washing clothes, fitting the car seat, and packing a hospital bag. I should have stopped last week.

With my first I finished early, about 33 weeks. I had a planned induction at 38 weeks which was early Jan and I knew in the 2 weeks over xmas and new year not much would get done for getting 'baby ready' so took some extra time.

Currently 15 weeks with my second and planning on going up to about 36 weeks (will have an induction at 38 weeks again). I work for a lettings agent and am in and out the office all day for appointments so that plan may change but I was bored stiff waiting with my first, dont want to be sitting about as much.
