Can the anticipation of labour be exciting?

I'm not crazy, but is there any women out there who are excited at prospect of labour?

I'm due in a week and a half and I've been having a few wobbles about how nervous I am about the pain and everything else but there is a part of me that's excited to get it all started and know I'm going to meet my baby.

I'm interested to know if any mums who have been through it are looking forward to it again?

Don't scare me! Haha

Yes, definitely exciting, like anything hard but intense.

I was on quite a trip for 24 hours before labour started, intense reactions to colour and music.

I would never have a home birth because when I was in labour I wanted the world to know Grin my ideal would have been about 30 medical students watching!

millie I was the same as you. Terrified before qnd up until about week 18 of my pregnancy until I realised it had to happen. Getting a bit nervous now I'm 39 weeks but this thread has helped!! I'm excited now too just want everything to go to plan which I have to accept that it might not
