Hello

Am washing all the baby clothes with a view to packing the hospital bag. I've got them from different places and have noticed the ones from Tesco say to cut off the labels whereas the ones from M&S don't. Is this necessary to do because I've bought a couple of sizes and this will get confusing? Also won't the short 'stub' of the label be more of an irritant than the whole thing?

Secondly the M&S ones say to wash as a delicate wool wash even though they are 100% cotton - again is this really necessary

Thanks all!

As for the tags, I never know what to do. As I feel that cutting off the tag and leaving a jagged edge might be irritable for baby. Shops would be so much better off putting in sticky labels that you can pull off IMO!

Never heard of cutting the labels off, and never have. I'm sure your baby won't mind them.

I've never cut labels for my 4 and always just wash at 40 (or 60) with my normal bio. Never had a problem.

When the baby actually arrives, you even won't care about all thia, it will just be an achievement to get washing done!

Hmm utterly illiterate today...

*you won't even care about all this

I've never cut labels off. Just washed everything in non-bio.

Never cut labels off. It would be such a nightmare to try and figure out the size without them.

depends on the label, some of them are really massive, those I cut out indeed.
Normal wash.
Don't wash and pull the tags off everything though - you don't know how big the baby is, or how fast they grow. Mine for example didn't manage to wear most of his newborn and 0-3 clothes, and of course you can't exchange them if they have been washed.
