Cold sweats at night

I'm 13 weeks pregnant and at least once a week for the past 3 weeks or so I've woken up at night in a cold sweat which feels really horrible. Its not after a bad dream or anything like that so can't imagine what the cause is. Has anyone else had anything like this? Thanks.

peacemakerukuk,

I don't want you to feel left out. I haven't been sweating, but I feel cold all the time. It's probably just a hormonal thing.
If you think this is bad, wait until after the baby is born.

i had this a few times at the beggining of my pregnancy, and apparantly it was stress , my body felt really cold, and i actually wet through my nightie and clothes with sweat, it was worrying at the time, and the advice i got from my doctor was to just take it easy. It was an awful feeling lol, but everything is fine now

hope everythings ok for you.

Not cold sweats so much, but just generally sweating a lot at night. Yuk!

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and have the shivers a lot. Can be perfectly fine and then have massive temperature drop - almost like when you feel a cold coming on. Am wrapping up, lying under my duvet, shivering, and then suddenly I'm over-hot. A bit different to what you describe, but I'm sure it's just our bodies going haywire, as they adjust...

Thanks everyone. It could well be stress but I'm not outwardly aware of it but this pregnancy is very stressful so far what with having a DVT and having to inject myself twice a day and also being given the odds of 1:21 of having a baby with Downs Syndrome - stress - what stress??
