Only feeling movement on one side?

I'm 18+5 with twins (2nd pregnancy) and have been feeling movements for about 2 weeks, but only on 1 side.
I don't know whether it is the position they are laid in, if it's got to do with the position of my placenta or something else but I'm getting really worried. I would have thought I'd have felt at least something on the other side by now.
Anyone else had any experience of anything like this?

Probably your placenta being in the way.

Hi Rocker mummy, I'm 18+2 and pregnant with twins.. I'm the same, only ever feel movement on my left side absolutely nothing on the right.
I know all was fine at my last scan and they said I have one posteria placenta and one anteria. I asked my midwife at my last apt and she said the anteria placenta will hide the movements a lot more.
Do you know the positions of your placenta(s)?
I've gone Google crazy worrying about the lack of movement but apparently it's quite common so I'm just trying to be positive, two and a half weeks until my 20 week scan.
If you're really concerned then maybe call your midwife at least for peace of mind. Good luck! This being pregnant with twins malarkey is a stress fest!

Stress fest is an understatement! I had a lovely pregnancy with DS but this is just something else! I've been ill constantly and the worry is unbelievable!
I was told that one of my placentas could possibly be slightly further forward than the other but they couldnt say for sure due to a large amount of scarring left from a retained placenta with DS, however they have said that they are both fused so are mainly at the top.
Also the side of my tummy that I can't feel movement on is much flatter and softer than the other side.
I called my Dr's surgery and they have said they will ask my mw if she can give me a call this afternoon to discuss but they can't promise me as she's fully booked with appointments. (There is a 4 week wait to see a mw at my surgery as she only works 1 afternoon per week!! Who the hell am I supposed to contact regarding any issues/concerns?!)

Blimey, 4 weeks?! Can you call your local hosp and speak to someone there maybe? They might get you to go in and just be put on a trace, even if it's just for your peace of mind more then anything else. Good luck

I'm 28+2 with twins and still only feel one of them, only movement on the right. I don't worry anymore as I know its normal for me but was originally really concerned. apparently baby on my left faces my back all the time, so she kicks just as much as her brother but I don't feel a thing! the boy on the other hand is always facing outwards so feel everything! Smile both placenta's are at the back and not Lowe, so purely down to their position.

if you are at all concerned, I would go to your early pregnancy unit at your hospital, peace of mind is priceless.
