Hiya,
38+4, going for a sweep tomorrow and booked for induction on Sunday due to GD - will be consultant led at St Mary's Manchester - have done the ward tour and seen the (frankly, impressively swish - but I guess that's not what I'll be thinking about!) private rooms but it didn't occur to me to ask where I'll be after the birth? I've been given varying accounts of how long I'll stay in - from 24 hours to four days because of the GD so I'm guessing I'm not going to be allowed to stay on the consultant led ward the whole time - does anyone know if I'll be moved to the midwife led unit or a general ward...or what? I get the impression that I will only stay in as long as there's any questions over the baby's health (I have been left under no illusions that the second I give birth they're not in the slightest bit interested in me any more!!) and that if all's well they'll only need to monitor her for 24 hours, maybe less...
